Good video on replacing the gasket itself. I wish my AC unit was that clean. I actually found some damaged OSB under the EPDM immediately by the AC (darn). One thing I would like to see addressed is how the cushions all around the bottom on the AC pan should be reviewed and maintained. The gasket kit comes with a thick and a thin spacer gasket for the far end, but there are other "bumpers" that prevent the AC from over-compressing the main AC gasket. All these spacers should be talked about!

Chasing a leak in my Blazin' 28P Toy hauler. The leak is at the bathroom skylight and slowly spreads in the bathroom ceiling. I'm thinking replacing A/C Gasket is a great place to start. We've already had 2.1 inches rain in one day. I can do the A/C unit first, then Dicor skylight if still leaking. Dicor refrigerator vent if still leaking, Dicor front cap if still leaking. A little skeptical about taking on all that stuff in one session and maybe creating a worse problem.

Easy to remove .... hahahahahha. For those that are actually doing this, WIRE BRUSH on the drill. Not Easy.

I would need more information to give you a proper answer, but if the RV is plugged into the proper amperage and you are not exceeding that amperage it is okay to run the AC unit when you are not there.

The problem I have was I can't tell where all the wires start and stop in order to disconnect them.

Are there any wires that need to be disconnected? I just recoated my Rv roof and this will be next.

Yes you need to disconnect the 120 volt wiring. Make sure the RV is not connected to an electrical source when you do this. The wires are usually color coded, and there is a ground wire. It's not very difficult to change the gasket either. Good luck

Steel rubber is over priced. There are other quality options. "Mitered" using heat bonding to join the corners is not a bad thing. I want a gasket that works
