During my morning commute I reflect on my weekend glamping trip in the 2017 Airstream Interstate Grand Tour EXT and talk about the Interstate's Cummins propane generator, running the air conditioner, humidity, the cost of propane for RV's and even manage to squeeze in an unboxing of my Green Chef order when I got home. I'm so glad you did this vlog as I've been torn as to whether it's more reasonable to do it yourself as far as food prep goes or have it done for you. I know you are very busy 🏃🏻 but I'd love to see a comparison of convenience over cost. The packaging alone seems to overshadow the cost of going green if you just prepped your own meals. Whataya think? You could probably get the same or better quality of product from Fresh Market.

The pre-portioned ingredients are a HUGE time saver. I have zero desire to have to grocery shop, find meals to make and measure everything. Meal delivery companies such as Green Chef and Terra's Kitchen absolutely help make this process easier and allow me to make meals at home I would likely never make on my own due to the overall amount of time it would take. On average, these meals cost $11-$12 per person/per meal with Green Chef. Definitely less expensive than eating out.

Would it help to curtain off the bedroom area so the air conditioner won't have to work as hard? Contain the cold in a smaller area.

Possibly. I just hate the thought of having to schlep some makeshift curtain around the Interstate. I prefer to keep everything as stock as possible without the extra fuss if that makes sense. Thank you for the idea!

Price per gallon at the Equipment place? You didn't mention.......the allstays app will direct you to propane places, would be nice if the app had the price per gallon listed........we filled up one time at a place like this and it was $4.00 a gal. Last fill up was at RV dealership for $1.99, another dealership in FL was $2.89 gallon. It is hard to find a place that can do RVs with the correct connection hardware that is needed. When on shore power, we use a ceramic heater, nice and toasty........yup you were frustrated.....lol!! You can set your AC a little lower to absorb the humidity. 2 resonators? can you tell where you read this, it is interesting. Cummins told us to get an estimate from a muffler place, but if the 2018s are coming with it attached, airstream should be able to install a retrofit. Not only is there rock and rolling vibrations on the bench seta from the generator, but they could actually do a better job of insulating the hot water heater, during the summer time if you turn on the water heater it is really hot through most of the night in that area and of course it is on my side that I sleep, so DH sleeps very cool and I sleep very hot til the water cools down............never noticed this during the winter time, LOL! So for right now the solution is to not heat the water at night!!!

Interesting feedback on the water heater. I sleep on the passenger side so I've never experienced the extra heat. It would drive me nuts for sure. I'll check it out the next time to see if mine does the same. I'll have to search around for some local muffler places and see what they say about installing a resonator. I'll locate where I read about the dual resonator install and let you know. Thanks for posting!
