Enjoy NYC. I am a NY’er living in FL for 21 years. I do miss it. I was a 30 min train ride into the city from New Rochelle. Spent a lot of time in the city. Road side cart dirty water dogs as they are affectionately called, hot pretzels with mustard, and Pizza. How I miss NY Pizza. So many landmarks. Loved the Intrepid. My Dad was Navy WWII. My grandfathers shop was in the city. So many places to take the kids. You will have a blast. Ellis Island where my great grandparents came through from Germany so cool to find his signature. Wish I was going with you. Tour guide. Have a really great time!

All well said. I think most people want to see the reality of RV life. The ones that have got in and got out already didn't realize that it isn't always a vacation, you still have to pay bills, things break, and kids cry.

When I was a bank teller I spent a hail storm stuck in our drive up ATM!! I wouldn’t recommend it.

When we lived in our sticks and bricks, we loved taking a day drive on a Saturday to a small town. Find an old city park, and let the kids play. As time went on it became more and more tough to find new small towns to explore. So, now that we full time, we bring that mentality to our travels. We often stay places for a month, and then take a day trip on Saturday to go explore something nearby. That's how we deal with the whole "vacation mode." It feels much more relaxing and chill.

You two & the clan are cute! Down to earth! Honest & caring. And yes… after raising our 4 hon schooling kids, 1/3 time campers in our 36’ TT… I don’t need/want to see tantrums 😂 It is soooo true that some of the ‘bad’ stuff can turn into something good , and memorable. Maybe a fun memory a few years down the road… or at my funeral 😂… but it can also be a learning & patience training time🤷‍♀️ We are now downsized to a 26’TT, and no kids so it is still is a memory making time on the road. Not full timers, only about 3/4 time. And we love it!!!

Social media should be a good balance of the good and the bad. The channels that try to be all sunshine & rainbows are just as obnoxious as the ones that always want to complain about everything. Moving is exhausting... I feel like it's more mentally taxing than physically. Towing something or even driving something large, you have to stay more mentally alert than you would typically in a car. So by the end of a long day driving your brain just wants a break!
