Kentucky is known for its bourbon, and as soon as Daniel and I (Lauren) discussed what we wanted to do here, there was no question. Daniel had to visit the home of his absolute favorite bourbon Pappy Van Winkle, at the Buffalo Trace Distillery.
Located in Frankfort, Kentucky, the distillery is a national historical landmark. So, despite my lack of palette for bourbon, there was something for both of us. The history and American dream that came to life in this place are truly inspiring.
But, a day at the distillery wouldn’t be complete without a bourbon drink, and Daniel has been perfecting the art of Old Fashioned making for years.
