In this video I will install and review an Advent / ASA Electronics Rooftop air conditioner. I went with this brand in order to save some money. I will show you the process, a few of my tricks, and my evaluation of the unit. I welcome your comments and questions. Thanks for watching! Buckwsr, putting the "Do" into "Do-It-Yourself."

Just put the mach 3 in my front as a replacement I am watching and waiting to see how you like this as I am sure I will have to replace my bedroom ac ... Thanks for posting

Great, Michelle. I too have the Coleman Mach 3 for my front A/C. In some ways I wish I had put that in the rear as well, but I wanted to save some money. And I noticed that the Coleman Mach 3 was about $100 more expensive this year than last year. Good luck to you, and thanks for watching the video.

Does this one have a temp sensor?

See I thiught I had to build a bracket bracket get space between the ac on top and mount bracket on bottom. But really I think I got the wrong bracket. Mine is way thinner then this one. I need this one that has thicker spacing to hide the metal piece!

I ran into the same issue with the mounting the unit. I’n glad I’m not the only one with the same issue. Were you able to successfully torque it to spec?

I ended up torqueing it to my own satisfaction, till I felt it was properly secured. I don't think the torque specs in the instructions were nearly tight enough to properly compress the rooftop gasket. Just took a 3000 mile trip, and it held up fine, so I feel confident I got it installed adequately. Good luck with yours!

I have this exact A/C, got it installed 3 weeks ago. Every time I turn it on it has a bad smell. Has this happen to you?
@Buckwsr
@Buckwsr 3 года назад
I haven't noticed any smells.... does it only happen at start up and then go away? Or a constant bad smell?

How good was the cold air? I’m trying to put one on a 19ft motor home would this be enough?
@Buckwsr

Yes, I'm sure this would be adequate for your motorhome. I think this is the 13.5K BTU unit. You could always play it safe and get the 15K BTU unit. And if you're in a hot climate likeTexas, as your youtube handle would indicate, that might be a good idea.

@@Buckwsr I’m in California doesn’t really get hot. For the 13.5k works
