- Velvet - Velveteen Rabbit “Sorry I’m late. Someone pushed all the buttons on the elevator on the way up. …It wasn’t me.” “I’d feel better if my bad guy catching record wasn’t O for 3.” *stares* “So that’s the tone we’re going for got it.” Ruby has some of the best lines. I love Lindsey so much. The delivery is great. Weiss immediately falling in love with Zwei and Blake being a cat is amazing. Team CFVY!! As I’m sure someone already pointed out, Velvet was supposed to be a one off character in Volume 1 but she was so popular that Crwby gave her a battle outfit and a team.

one of my favourite dumb details is that every student in that hall is (iirc supposed to be) first year. So Oz likely posted that mission specifically for team RWBY, and would only unlock it for them.

It certainly tracks. It kinda feels like Ozpin was hoping they'd be Team STRQ: The Next Generation from the moment he put them together.

@@Blazingstoke To be fair, they put themselves together, and Ruby was already playing hero in episode one. The only way to stop those four from getting into the middle of things would be to lock them up. Giving them supervision instead seems like a smart compromise.

Bit of trivia, Zwei (2 in German) is a reference to the corgi Ein (1 in German) from Cowboy Bebop.

Yes, Caiti Ward is Australian, and married the voice actor for Junior, the club owner. They ran RoosterTeeth's 24 hour charity livestream for Extra Life for years (later joined by Chad from Death Battle and others), which the company raised millions in donations over the years for a local children's hospital, breaking the charity's donation tracker most years. It was something the employees looked forward to every year, even after some ahole decided to copyright "For the Kids", something they would all say before doing something they found gross or painful.

Don't knock Oobleck (aka Coffee Teacher) before he gets a chance to shine lol! The next few episodes cemented him as one of my favorite characters and definitely my favorite teacher of the series.
