I totally agree. I didn't like it that much at first, but then I thought, "Wow for not liking it, I sure listen to it a lot". It's a definite grower - it's great.
Everything he does is damn good. There are real music gems on all his albums. Saw him live once however and he was very poor. Only for he is such a genius I wouldnt have forgiven him
wish this had been the one actually on the show. I like Fix It but I much prefer this one. Although, Ryan so rarely disappoints anytime. Glad he seems to be a favorite of Dave's.
Neal Casal has such a pure voice. These guys together , it doesn't get much better. Ryan's amp is a little silly . . . but those shoes rule. They was made for peddlin'.
This is actually the first time a new album has come out since I've been a fan, and it's hard to adjust from old to new when you are hardly aquainted with Easy Tiger and such to begin with.
regarding the genius switch, I beg to differ. see phil specter, francis crick and many others. but ryan's switch continues to be in the on position. and his t-shirts are awesome too.
At least Jeff Tweedy could go sober and still entertain us. Ryan will be back...it just seems like some chick told him to be "good" for a while. YO RYAN - THIS IS SUPPOSED TO BE REALLY F'N FUN! The Andy Kaufman of Rock-n-Roll has turned into Ned Flanders. Rock on Ned.
yeah, but cobwebs are not just spiderwebs -- they are old, discarded ones which are dirty and cluttering. so, i think perhaps ryan is making an analogy to worthless, unrequited love. brilliant song. great, moody lyrics
This music really has to grow on me before it's meaningful. I can't believe that I said that just a day ago. And I'm not even just trying to be a bitch for everyone else. Listening to exactly the same song 24 hours later is entirely different.
I kind of take it to mean will you confuse love with something worthless or which seems to have no meaning, that can be easily discarded. Personal opinion.
no way. Heartbreaker and Whiskeytown were inspired by Dylan. This is Adams trying to venture into a more popular genre of music which he sucks at. I don't hate Ryan Adams, I just wish that he would go back.
