I've got a lot of Ryobi 18V batteries. I bought into their ecosystem a long time ago and I've always been pretty happy with that choice, and as my tool collection grew so too did my heap 'o batteries.
Well, I've been wanting to find a better solution for keeping and charging said batteries without leaving them strewn across my workbench. I use these tools a lot, so having the batteries close-to-hand at all times is nice, but bench space is at a premium, so I'm envisioning some kind of rack or drawer that can hold them up and out of the way, but always be there waiting for me.
This was a pretty simple build. Really not much more than a sheet of plywood with holes drilled in it to hold the batteries, and a couple of slides to make it work like a drawer. It was fun figuring out how to fit everything into the space available and also make it slide and pivot in a robust way, and I think it came out really great. This is going to be a huge upgrade to my little shop and I'm glad I took the time to build it.
