Marc, just got me new FishHawk X4D last week! I see your video here is with the X4. Are they the same size of transducers? I see these transducer brackets aren't cheep so I want to make sure just one size fits both! Great point on angling your transducer back to get a better reading on the FishHawk Probe! Thanks!!
When installing the mount on to the boat do you put anything on the screws to seal it or is there special screws? My fishhawk is new in the box and I don't see screws that would seal or be water tight. Thanks in advance.
Personally I use PL Marine Sealant (amzn.to/35gVmZU) or 3M 4200 (amzn.to/33CgQQA). Whatever you do don’t use 3M 5200 as it is permanent. Hope this helps..
Mine is essentially flat to the hull bottom on my Tiara 2700 and works down to about 100-120ft with 17lb Titan Weights. If my cable angle was greater I’d tilt the transducer a few degrees.
@@KingsLandingSportFishing I have it back some. But when current is ripping or rough as heck or when I absolutely need it. It won't read. Tried different heads and probes. I run 13 lb torpedoes
@@KingsLandingSportFishing Plan on getting the Fish Hawk in the very near future!! If I have to angle my transducer to get better readings when going deep let's say 90 feet. Will anything change on my surface speed when its angled? I'm running 8 pounds weights. Thanks!
