would you recommend a single FV15HP Rhythmik as a worthwhile upgrade over a Klipsch R-120SW for Cinema/HT?

@@darkshadoku Man that Klipsch isn't anywhere in the same league as the FVX15. That wouldn't be a major upgrade. Highly recommended.

@@PolkFan I was recommended the FVX15 or the HSU for Home Theater But I just wanted to make sure it would be a worthy upgrade that will last me a long while for the money it costs haha... I think i will just pull the trigger and go for it, hopefully the rest of my Dolby Atmos system is worthy enough for that beast of a Sub- Also what i meant was that i have a R-120SW Klipsch currently, and was looking at the Rhytmik to replace it as an upgrade

@@darkshadoku You'll be really happy you did if you get it. Plenty of output and the cleanest sounding bass ever. The only caveat is the learning curb of the adjustments on the amp plate. It's not your typical sub and has alot of adjustments to fine tune it. But once you fine where you want to be it's heaven from there.

Also one final question, i noticed on your channel you demo'ed Age of Extinction but with your previous sub, have you Demo'ed the intro scene (with the explosions and the t-rex at the start/alien bombs) with the Rhythmik subs? The reason i ask is i am always afraid to put my volume up to my normal watching level ( -10) because i feel like the sub or speakers would blow up lol. Any issue with yours?

Thanks man! Ive been using ported. Coming from dual Pb2000. The reason why i got this was the size. I was looking for an upgrade to Pb2000, and was looking on Sb16 Ultra. It has to be the same size of pb2000 or smaller. Yep, then i found out the Rythmik. And was happy im glad. Im pretty sure the ported version will be great but at this moment i was blown away. My first time going sealed actually. Music and movies great way to go. My ported pb2000 a little lack on music side, but this rhythmik gave me everything.

Oh wow congratulations 🎉 😁 My process was break in for a couple of weeks before i did a calibration- i just played subwoofer break in from youtube and spotify. Then I calibrate it with the Anthem Arc. Started half of the volume, then when done i left it to almost 3/4 of volume. As far as the back setting i played around with the 12hz, 16, 18 and i will check what did i ended up going to i think in the middle. Not 12hz. Anyways good luck to you. It will get better and better the longer you use it be patient. Bro i went to best buy and listened to DUAL SB 16 Ultra no way near the F18’s. You will not regret it 😁

Thanks man. Yeah, i had a dual Pb2000 as well before these. All i can say is night and day difference. Yeah, i heard about the Jtr captivator, seems like everyone mention it has a only good thing to say, thats great. I dont think i will be needing udgrade for awhile, lol even i move in a big house, i may add another two more Rythmik 18’s , so i can have four lol 😂- thats when i move, cuz i heard Anthem releasing AVM90 Processor that can do 15.4 lol. In the distant future. I love this 18’s the way they hit your chest is pretty solid and not boomy like the ported does sometime. Yeah all my panels does a good job of improving the acoustic of the room.- goodluck to you😁

Unless you have like super big hall lol i would get the fv. But i dont think i will ever go above this, my dual f18’s hit the spot, and when i get a bigger living room i will go for 4 f18s. They are superb for movies and music. Plus not as big looking. - i like small speakers but big sound, i dont know what you prefer but IMO you will never disappointed if you get 4 F18’s it will exceed your expectations. Just give it time to blossom, break in takes time. I heard Sb16 ultra lol nowhere near the f18’s. Good luck 🍀

@@OffroadChefs my room is 14x24 but 3 feet of that is taken up by my false wall I use the the ported cylinder subs because of the lack of space they take up thats why I'm thinking about the sealed f18s

Thanks man! I went with this due to the smaller size. My PB2000 is my max size i can accomodate for now and this is just a little bigger than the svs pb2000. Its perfect for what im looking for.

Chris Richardson oh about what i prefer if its ported or sealed? I started with all ported sub from yamaha, klipsch, then Svs pb1000, to Pb2000. I am really happy with the pb2000 and i thought that was the end. Then i heard the SVS Sb16 in demo and blows my mind, that day i promised i will try sealed also the size smaller which is a plus. Sb16 was not affordable for me so i did research and i found Rythmik F18! Oh boy, it can destroy the whole house including the Sb16 and Pb2000 in it lol 😂. Im really happy. - plus sealed its great for music as well. - so yeah. Dont give me wrong, if i have a huge home theatre space- big ported would be the smart way for dedicated home theatre.

sealed is a couple db less output but that's at the limit, if you played that loud it would just be for a few seconds. A larger enclosure, chuffing, extra $400 for maybe 2 db? Like a car that's 20% more expensive, handles worse but has 480 hp instead of 475.

I own the FV18s, with paper cones, in the ported model, they are sublime. You pick up about 3 db more volume with the paper cones, which can be a little better for movies, but they can also play flat to 12hz at serious volumes if that’s your jam. Super tight, clean bass, sealed or ported. Rythmik is great for the money.

AV tech Fanatic i may, when i move to a bigger house lol. Right now its ok for the size of that room besides my couch is only 8 ft away. The 65” Oled looks small on the video but its good enough. Hopefully next year i will upgrade to 85” lol if budget allows.

Thanks man. Im still happy with my sub. The longer you have it the better the sounds. Always love watching. I have always wanting more but now i felt that i accomplished what im looking for as far as the sub. Im in peace and content. Even my speakers i hit the spot already. But there is one more thing i wanna own though, that will totally complete me. When i get a house, i will add another 2 same sub, Anthem avm 90 and add the Gallo Nucleus Reference 2 as my main L/R. blSwagger07 I have been craving for Sb 16 Ultra but its just too expensive, then through research, i found the F18. Not a lot of reviews on F18, but all the reviews were incredible plus i only had 3k saved up that time so yeah dual Rythmik would be the best choice. I still love svs but im not disappointed with the F18’s. Just need a bigger place now.

Don't know how a 16 inch is going to beat an 18, with servo at that.

Matthew Polselli this Demo i made was on its 1st week of owning it. Now that is months of breaking period I notice a big difference its more Dynamic and can easily Explode my house. Im so amazed. Hahahahha

@@OffroadChefs Oh ok thanks :). I just ordered F18 (1). I hope it sounds good. My Current Sub is a Dayton audio Sub1500 ( $160 15" Sub ). This should be Big upgrade from that I hope.

Had this Little cheap Sub for 5 years now. Its served me pretty well comparing it to a Sound Bar Subwoofer lol.

Sealed are known for best music than ported. So yes. Movie & Music wise, It was a lot better than my previous dual SVS Pb2000.

@@FatalXS yes this brand model in my own experience great for music. Although i only use premium Spotify not Tidal or CD still sounds great 😁

I have not have fv18. But i think Fv18 is better with movies and f18 is music and movies combined. 🤔 if you have a big room and mostly movies, i will go with fv18. But i think you will be happy with both subs 😁
