Ryu’s SFII is good for conveying Ryu’s origin. Japanese, tradition, etc But this tracks seems so…unbounded. It adheres to nothing but the challenge, the drive, and the will to overcome one’s greatest fears and obstacles. It’s not just the theme of Ryu, it’s the theme of battling your greatest opponent: yourself.
This is my favourite of Ryu's theme, particularly this version. The layers really represent Ryu. R1: Calmness and focus. R2: Intensity and fierceness! R3: Evaluation of both R1 and R2. Like TheOSTLobby RU-vid said, this song needs to be recognized outside of this game. He even has the Joudan in Smash, ffs!
I digress. Some of the tracks of the original are better as they are (this being one of them, Remy's being another), but others enjoy a much greater result (Dudley's, Akuma's, and Q's third round are master works!)
@ShadowFiendIsHere I personaly like this version better because the drums aren't the only thing I hear. The original version had the drums stand out too much and drowned everything out. I can still hear the drums on this one and it finely blends in with everything else.
Ahh dude bad move... Most SF III fans hate SF IV, so you better dont mention it here haha... I like both of them... but yeah I like street fighter 3 better... mostly because of parry.
