One of the things I love about this duet is you know Jongdae's not holding back. He doesn't have to worry about overpowering powerhouse Liyin. Flawless performance. Seamless harmonization. These two should be each other's official duet partners.

I'm so impressed by Chen's mandarin :) His pronounciation improves after every performance! and I can't imagine how difficult it must be for him to memorize the lyrics.. kudos to him.

Zhang Li Ying's voice control, technique, dynamism and vocal color are so good. She's really one of the best singers SM have. You can really hear in this song how she attacks the notes. Her voice is so powerful but she knows when to soften it to match the voice of her partner, damn, such amazing control. This basically proves how professional and how matured she is in singing. I can imagine her having duet to different type of voice because of her superb control. Really rare in SM. Too bad she's not promoted that much. Chen's voice is also awesome, definitely good for any type of songs but really shines more in ballads. :)

To be honest, it's hard to judge one of these versions being better over the others... But, I guess that the Chinese version was more...emotional? Maybe because it's live, but I felt like Chen and Zhang Li Yin really connected and built a climax in the song and it was amazing x

I like when Zhang Li Yin speaks, her voice is soft then when she sings it's like woah o_o even Wang Lee Hom could not believe a voice came out of someone as young as herself back in the days & this has to be my fav. Version especially as these 2 look comfortable with each other; in an interview Chen mentioned her being a noona yet he wants to protect her like a younger sister & how they spent a lot of time together in order to perfect Chen's Chinese ^___^ ahhh so sweet this duet

The way she was looking at him, especially near the end, was heartwarming. To me, it seemed like she was smiling at him and telling him that he did well ^^ I loved this version. Chen's pronunciation sounds magnificent and Zhang Li Yin's voice is amazing

There's no doubt vocal wise this duo outshines the other two versions. I strongly believe Chen is born to be a ballad singer and Zhang Li Yin is just amazing. she has so much control, her techniques are great and can effortlessly put so much emotions into the song.

Oh my God I can't lie this is the best duet here in the SM The Ballad. They comfortable with each other. It both pleasant to look and hear. Both of them nailed the song. No one voice over power each other. They sang with damn good comfortable chemistry. And they both got the feeling of this song. They understand how to express the song. Even I'm acknowledge a big fan of Taeyeon and Jonghyun but Chen and Ri In (Li Yin) did the best here. And also Changmin and Krystal ummm you know.

Best version for me too. They both complement each other's voice perfectly ... sounded like an OST for a drama. SM really need to get Zhang Li Ying out more, her voice is so beautiful and full of emotion, her talent is seriously under utilized.

Honestly, the only problem with her (watch Zhang Liyin's old videos) is lack of stage presence, which is VERY unfortunate. Her voice is beautiful, and I'm glad she is no longer AWOL, because I miss her a heck of a lot.

LI Yin is the epidomy of perfection when she sings. OMG she has a really soft and gentle touch when she sings and not to mention she can sing with power if the song requires it. Li Yin, really love this girl. I hope this means a comeback for her this year, i really hope so. THis girl is too talented not to be.

Comparing to his duet with Taeyeon, Chen sounds better her. I think it's because his voice is more powerful than Taeyeon while Liyin's voice is just as powerful as his. But all three of them have great voices

Oh my goodness Zhang Li Yin freaking killed me with the emotions portrayed in her voice. This is why she's one of my favorite soloist please SM we need more of her promotions and honestly combine that with Chen's amazing vocals they make one heck of a duet. Freaking cried so much listening to this version and even though the MV already made me cry this just add so much more emotions.

I love how they smile at each other at the end. And I thought: THIS is what a duet is about. Singing together, connecting through music. I've always been a fan of Zhang Li Yin and was super happy when I knew Chen has a duet with her. I love his voice and I love it more when it blend perfectly with hers. This is definitely my favorite version of of the three. Chenchenn you're getting better! Fighting :)

I can't understand Chinese or Korean so my vote always goes for the one with the most pleasant sounding voice...and in EXO(in my opinion) that is Chen. He's voice is so easy on the ears and it was made for singing ballads. I love ballads. Li Yin was spectacular, too!!!

just watched jonghyun and taeyeon perform breath on music core livestream... omg, still i had to come here directly after to listen to chen and liyin. shinee is my #1 bias but - sorry jjong T__T - chen and liyin are just TOO amazing singing this. i feel their emotion so much more than jjong/taeyeon duet. i really hope that chen/liyin can perform breath on a korean music show just once :

Chen is my favourite member in exom but he gets the least attention which makes me wonder. In super junior m, ELFs hate members from china and doesn't support them, why is it that Chen is form Korea and yet has the least number of fans. CHEN FIGHTING

I agree with you, Chen has the least number of fans. However, it't not like what you think. In my opinion, the reason are: 1. Chen doesn't have a baby face like Luhan or Xiumin in ExoM. He has a manly face and most people (espically in Korea) like baby face idols. 2. The people who like Chen is in their 20's or mature, cause they admire his powerful voice and efforts. They have known how difficult did he experience when he choosed ExoM. 3. He can't speak Chinese. That's a problem. Luckily, he can understand now and maybe, we can wait 1 or 2 years to listen his Chinese. 4. In China, he has mature image and not usually smile but in Korea (his country), he smiles too much (>v

I don't think he's the least popular at all - just scan the crowd during their performances and it's not hard to spot a fair few Chen signs. He might not (yet) be one of the most popular members, but he's definitely not the least popular, either. I think the reason it still appears that he's not getting as much attention as some of the others is because his popularity has taken longer to build - it wasn't until Growl era that fans got to see the real bubbly & chatty Chen on Korean shows, and Miracles in December + Breath really got fans acquainted with Chen's talent (which was previously hidden). Just look at how quickly the number of Chen fansites have grown since December!

i'm just really glad that chenchen is trained to sing in mandarin (he's korean of coz he can sing korean well) he gets more opportunity if can sing in different languages :) so proud of him~ i can't stop replaying this song over and over again. liyin's singing skill was already proven long time ago, just that she has been so underpromoted. i seriously get goosebumps from this version coz it's too touching!! well done jongdae+liyin!!

I'm like dying from all the feels! THIS IS PERFECTION! I remember when Zhang Li Yin first debuted and she was heavily criticized for her live and lack of voice control. ZLY has come a long way and she sounds AMAZING! I love their performance the most!

Their voices took me on a rollercoaster ride... filled with emotions. At first, even though I didn't understand what they were singing about I felt their story!! Chen you blow us away everytime you sing & Zhang Liyin has a beautiful voice!! Both are talented singers!! Loved it!!

I love the rich, mature sound of Chen's voice in this performance. I want more of this tone from him in EXO's tracks. I never really hear it outside of his live performances, which is a huge shame. And, of course, Liyin always has a lovely voice, and it's a joy to hear her sing alongside my bias.

I'm sincerely hoping that her appearance on the Chinese version of "Immortal Song" will open new doors for this amazing singer. Standing ovation and slow clapping for Chen & Zhang Li Yin's performance - it's a rare thing and truly worth applauding when artists can sound even better live than their CD recording. I'm so glad first Miracles in December and now S.M. The Ballad gave Chen a chance to show off his incredible vocals; such power, range and control, but above all truly gorgeous to listen to. Golden voice ftw!
