Ride to Hohenwerfen (Where Eagles Dare) Castle in Austria
In this video we Ride to the Hohenwerfen Castle better known as the castle from the 1968 war film " Where Eagles Dare" starring Clint Eastwood and Richard Burton.
The castle was also used for the location of the TV show "The Man in the High Castle" shown on Amazon from 2015 to 2019.
Its an interesting castle not only for its location but the history and various things it was used for.

Last time I went over the Grossglockner it was thick fog and I could see sod all!

If you enjoyed that castle i think you’d really enjoy Colditz castle if you go to Germany again. The museum is great, and you can even stay overnight as it’s a youth hostel as well. Better outside the school season.

We nearly went there too ffs 😏 it was a bit off route so we decided against it. As you say, there is always next time ;)

Every camp site should have a bus shelter, very useful and as you say safe haven when yer sodden wet through, I spotted a weak part of the castles defences ! Just go straight up lift ! Upward and onward there must be some Sunshine coming soon. 😮
