I’m really glad you think so! Sometimes all this RU-vid stuff is a pain in my butt and I wonder if it’s a waste of my time. Thank you very much for saying so!

@@DadsGarageDiagnosticSpecialist by the way, there's been new developments in the two problem child colorados i was telling you about. they aren't finished yet, i was at the training center today so i couldn't finish them up. i don't want to jinx it before they get shipped lol. all ill say for now is the radio problem i was having, that entire situation would have been completely avoided if i added the battery update ignore file per the latest bulletin released in january of this year. if you remember back when these trucks first came out we had to do that to every one because of the ota killing the battery, then after a few months everyone stopped doing that because the updates went through. i can confirm gm is not automatically adding that file as part of the usb update 😒 you think tac would have told me about that on the phone. the only reason i figured that out is because i was telling a coworker what happened and he ran into the same problem i did. he was going to skip the update completely until he found that bulletin

I don’t care so much about channel growth and views… I just don’t want to waste my time or anybody else’s. My goal is really to teach somebody and give them the gift of that skill that gets them through the day and helps them climb up to the next step on the ladder. So after you added the battery, ignore file you think it will work? Or it’s not done yet? Thank you for the update… Knowledge and experience gold mine because you know they really don’t give us enough information for these weird problems and when I search my resources I come up with nothing and always end up having to figure it out by myself. That’s what this channel is really about is knowledge harvesting.

I like Chevy S10, especially the ZR2. But the only reason I won't lie one is because crash rating is complete garbage. And does the 2008 Silverado the first truck to have cruttened airbags?

I also like the ZR2. I’d take one with a gas engine and 8 speed transmission. I’m not sure if the 2008 was the first year, but that generation of trucks was the first generation to have side curtain airbags I think. Thanks.

What do you recommend because I want to be A G. M Technician and I have hearing AIDS. I couldn't hear the fuel pump in this video. It's like a high pitch or something else.

I would suggest concentrating on electrical diagnosis skills and/or EV skills. That’s the way the industry is going.

It's thing I live in a small town. All I see at the 3 dealerships. I talk to Chevy Pit Silverado's and pickup trucks and economics us. I think we're gonna be working on as trucks and some cars.

@danielb-c9100 I would still buy one and I work on them every day. The problems that I see day to day are fairly minor. Out of all of the GM vehicles that I frequently work on, I can’t say that any of them really have a common enough problem that I would call them a junker and not want to own one. I did own a 2017 Acadia for a while and it was phenomenal… Of course with good maintenance under my care. The only thing that would shy me away from purchasing a modern vehicle newer than that is the steep cost of tooling to work on it and the steep cost of repairs on any and everything because the technology is through the roof and there are very few repairs that are cheap or DIY anymore. I will keep all of my older vehicles running for as long as I can.
