The struggle is real when my car has less than one third the HP and weighs more :'( Phil's IG: / philipk852 Follow me on IG: / zygrene Follow me on Facebook: / zygrene
I believe Phil in the McLaren Senna is the guy who's friends with Sam of "Seen through glass" and was recently in Sam's Video where he let Sam drive the Senna. He stated that he bought the Senna for track use so it's great to see him using it as intended.
NutriFIT nutritie si fitnes Have you watched the whole video?......Sorry to disappoint but scroll to 2.53 to catch a glimpse of what the Senna is capable of!
Meme Patrol better on paper? Well I mean for straight lines just the 720s drops most of its competitors. Yet alone getting a lighter track focused car that has even more power lmao
Again enjoyed this. Wanna do it. Do you have a follow up video on the specific items you mentions like the tires and other add improvements. How was the after track fluids and seals? Happy Holidays.
Very nice! I've had the pleasure of getting my doors blown off by some exotic stuff in my day, but this takes the cake! As you said, good on him for using it as intended.
Marxs042 So you think it’s all bout looks now. Any racing driver wants something challenging not your slay queen styled or instagram filtered hypercar. Just for views and shit. Senna is the shit to beat. Beat the performance with your shit kit cars.
So jealous you get to drive this great track! I've only driven it on simulators, and it's still great. :) S2000 is such a great little car. McLaren isn't too shabby either! :D
Thanks for the sweet video. I did Laguna Seca several years ago in an AP1 S2000 and really enjoyed it, although the straights favor higher horsepower machines. Sears Point, on the other hand is far more of a finesse circuit. If you can get turns 2, 3 & 4 linked, and 7, 8A and 8B, it's not about horsepower... Nice drive!
Fastest Phil ran was a 1'32, that was with the lift for the sound check. He has another two seconds in him I think. A pro who drove the Senna at Laguna has stated that 1'27 should be possible on an unrestricted day. Someone should put slicks that car and aim for 1'23
I still regret that I wasn't able to take my STi to a track day at Laguna Seca in the short time that I lived in Seaside 🙈. Nice video, it's always interesting when you're in track with more exotic machinery 😂 (I've had my RoW E36 M3's doors blown off by an Aventador, a 997 GT2, a few KTM Xbows, C6 ZR1, etc at the Bahrain international Circuit 😮). If you are having pad fade on track, check out G-Loc brakes, shoot Danny an email and he'll set you up with the right compound for track days in that environment/car/track combination 👍
Imagine Ayrton Senna being revived and chasing the McClaren with a tastefully 'murdered' (Completely modified to Senna's approval with a twist of rouge) NSX.
Round a track, the Senna is insane. Wonder what the Senna will do on a small autocross track like the goodguys autocross? Though the way he handled the S2000, is quite good. Especially since it's a manual.
@@Zygrene I just sold my gt3 otherwise I'd let you give it a try at one of the socal tracks. I know you review cars every now and then. I picked up a 570s if you are ever in socal to review
While I probably could afford the Senna itself, and do spend a decent amount of time on the track, I don’t think I could ever bring myself to bring a car that nice out on the track for a trashing... they just get so beat up out there! I would have to be worth a lot more than I am to get to the point where I wouldn’t care what happened to a car like that, so congrats Phil for having stupid money! Enjoy that Senna!
You should look at upgrading to a used Corvette. It's very similar to your S2000 just with a couple hundred more horses. Keep up the great video's. : )
Ehhh, not really a c5 doesn’t weight all that much. I’ll think that gutting it would get it under 3000 lbs(if it’s a z06 tho). However, i think he’ll be better off upgrading the s2k than to get a whole new car. The s2k is a gnarly platform for racing
That would be bonkers, especially if it's happening at the bridge (where they put the digital speed readout for the historics in 2011, and I think ALMS also).
Jonny Tran and his gang got.. "Too soon Jr'd" big time. That's all I saw in this video. So much for YT, FB, and even Jalopnik recommendations. Total clickbait.
The difference between a Senna and an S2000 is that the average person could afford an S2000, and build it up over time for more performance, and still daily it. Lots of fun in a reliable, cheap package. I wish more supercar owners could drive as well as you drive your Honda!
Dont know why you're trying to justify being beaten by a Senna. Let it go. Anyone with enough experience in their Senna as you have had in your S2000 would make it look alot worse. The captions just make it look like you're explaining why you're being destroyed. ''oh well ykno, my driving is awsum but like the Senna is lighter and has more power and all that aero and better tyres and shit... so yeh he beat me by old ass, stock S2000 by like 10 seconds but only 10 seconds...'' I'm sure an experienced Senna driver could shave another 5 off that.
oh really do you think for sec with this crappy s2000 u can beat a mclaren senna . this is like bringing a knife to a gun fight. next time to destroy the senna and make mclaren regret the moment theyve decided to make this car , bring the beast the one and only Honda civic V Tec. be sure the owners of sennas will ask you about the retail of one of these . and you can reply fully confident : more than you can handle palll
