Grandma Ellen, if I may, you had me riveted to my seat for 47:41 and I thank you for sharing your story with all of us. One thought that came to mind was if someone listened to this podcast and except for the couple of little clips of her singing they would have been wondering, "What is this girl all about? I need to hear more of her and find out what is going on!" Of course they got a good start by listening to her sing 'Shield' for them. And. Ellen, what's so interesting is when we watched her singing the song in that outdoor setting, not only do we hear her beautiful voice with tones so soulful, she is actually connecting to her audience in between notes when you look at her facial expressions. I could go on for hours but let me say it was wonderful listening to you and the conversation you had with Alan and Pontus about healing was so extraordinary because listening to you shows what someone can do if they believe in themselves. Discovering Angelina and sharing love with her brings forth a feeling that most of us have never felt before in our lives. Please don't ever feel unappreciated or not loved in your life again, dear Ellen. A lot of us have wondered, "Who is this Grandma Ellen person?" Well, now we know and we love you very much. ❤

Dear Ellen, I am deeply moved by your profound courage and honesty in sharing your personal journey. Your experiences are a testament to the resilience of the human spirit and the power of music and connection in our lives. It's truly inspiring how you've been able to harness your experiences and use them for healing and growth. Your reflections on the impact of Angelina's music and how it brings comfort and a sense of belonging are genuinely touching. It is a beautiful reminder of how art, in its various forms, can transcend barriers and speak directly to the human soul. This is a testament to the universal language of music and the healing it can offer. I admire your empathy and compassion, not only toward yourself but also toward those who have caused you pain. Your capacity for understanding and forgiveness is a powerful message to all. Your journey has shaped you into an empathetic and resilient individual who can find beauty and meaning even in the most challenging circumstances. Remember that your story is a source of strength and inspiration for many people. By sharing it, you offer comfort and validation to others who may be going through similar struggles. You are not alone, and your journey matters. Keep shining your light, Ellen. Your story and your strength are making a difference.

@@RobertDeMartin Thank you so much for your attentive and responsive listening. And thank you for the love. I'm letting it settle in. Angelina is amazing for coming here, singing complete phrases of Whitney Houston at 18 months, and knowing by the time she could articulate well to others, "I will sing for the world, to make people happy." She is simply being and sharing the gift with which she came---and look at the good it is already doing/done. If she never sang again, she's already done a world of good. And she will continue to do so. It is an inspiration to take what life hands us and offer it up for the good of others. Thank you for that affirmation. If we fail to meet at a concert, perhaps we shall meet in that place of light and beauty.

Ellen, you describe her book so well! That book also delivered healing to me. Yes we are all broken to some extent, we all have darkness in our lives, you are not alone. In the book Angelina appears to make observations as a nine year old - just a page with few words, but that penetrated all my emotional barriers. Jeg vil bli en stjerne. En stjerne kan ikke skinne uten mørke. Og jeg vil skinne mer og mer. I want to be a star. A star cannot shine without darkness. And I want to shine more and more. All I can say is yes it was. Know that your story helped me in my own struggle with the misfortunes of my life. Your own kind demeaner in this interview as well as your many comments on AJ's videos are as inspirational to me as the inspiration you found in AJ's singing and writing. I'm sure I speak for many others as well. Please take care ❤. Thank you Alan and Pontus for these wonderful discussions. When I first discovered these podcasts about the impact of AJ's artistry, I skeptically felt they might be the exaggeration of over zealous fans. But I watched them trying to understand the impact that Angelina had on me out of curiosity. But as I experience more and more of her wonderful ongoing story, I'm routing for her to gain a wider stage in the world. We may have only seen but a glimpse of what this young woman has to offer. But seeing the personal impact on folks like Ellen, Bob and yes myself and others, what a wonderful impact she has had.

At the end of this particular episode, very rich, and with much which was difficult and painful to hear, I sat in silence a while and was about to go out of the page and looked at the title of this show: WRAPPED IN A WARM BLANKET. It so connected with Grandma Ellen's suffering and healing and the courage she had to share it. It was what she didn't get as a small child .. she was not wrapped in a warm blanket for long enough to hold it as a tool to live through. She shared that losing one's mother at the age of 2 has not given that child enough wrapping in a warm blanket that one would remember as life showed its trials and difficulties. Sarah knows the value of this, we see it when she supports the young girl who Angelina gave her shoes to - to go home and rest. That young girl felt and received Sarah's offering as true love, partly because she had been with Angelina in an experience she may have never had before. Someone stopped and asked to hear her story .. with sincere interest and a desire to comfort a girl alone on the side of the road trying to make a little money. They shared their stories and were able to have compassion and love for each other in just one conversation. This was because Angelina was present and curious and filled with compassion. Then she was given the beautiful boots .. and Sarah came in, helped her with enough money so she could truly go home and rest, a concept this girl had probably not ever thought of as a potential choice. So she got wrapped in Angelina's very warm blanket and then Sarah's maternal blanket to top it off. How blessed she was that day. I like to imagine that it was so special that it truly held her warm long enough to be able to find a different way to get where she wanted to be. That the love she received truly gave her a lasting understanding of loving another and of compassion. I pray for that for her, whenever I think of her .. and Angelina still prays for her .. no small gift there. That's all .. I just wanted to say how perfect the name of your program was for today. You offered her a warm blanket that she could speak freely about her pain and not feel judged and so she could share how Angelina had helped her heart. Blessings to ALL THREE OF YOU and a warm hug to Grandma Ellen

Angelina seems to gravitate to themes of pain and artists who suffered in an attempt to salve those wounds. One can imagine that Angelina was blessed, first with great talent, but then with such love and encouragement that she has developed a profoundly deep and loving inner and external life. From this perspective the human race must seem so broken to her. Thus her mission to spread love with her music..

A very fitting program for Mother's day. Your playing of Shield at the end was also very fitting. Sara is not just Angelina's mother, she is her Shield. Sara is Angelina's Guardian (Angel if you will), both spiritual and physical. She has protected her on numerous occasions. Angelina has a habit of putting her head in the Lion's mouth. She has performed on many occasions for negative people, that a child should not be around. The entertainment and political industries are overrun by such individuals. Let this be a tribute to Sara, the ultimate Shield.

@@GrandmaEllen I believe that Angelina is one of the new hybrid people for the New Earth. The New Earth is 4th density positive. Unless Angelina chooses something negative, as an experience, nothing negative will happen to her. She literally has legions of positive entities protecting her. The current negative system needs to collapse, before she can take her reign

All conversations seem to ultimately end up in a spiritual discussion and, I believe, rightfully so. As you may know, there are many reports of young people being able to tap into the spiritual realm, but often they lose that ability as they age (probably because compromises have to be made to simply make their way in life). It appears to me that Angelina has a perennial ability to maintain a connection with her higher self. I find that this whole Angelina experience is just fascinating.

Thank you Grandma Ellen. Not many would have exposed for the whole world what you just did. And I know, it is a part of the healing. This got to be one of the best podcasts I've ever seen. Maybe we all miss or lack something, which Angelina is able to provide to us through her artistry. It certainly feels like she is doing just that. She always has. And it all is a mystery. How? This podcast is giving me the answer. Not all are able to connect to Angelina. I know that I did just that. I've listened to her music every single day since the very first day I rediscovered her. I saw her in 2014 at NGT, and has been aware of her ever since. But she was just a little girl, and I didn't understand how she was able to sing like that. Then I stumbled upon I Put A Spell On You about 2 or 3 years ago. And that was it. She put a spell on me, I think. I think she got me that first day, that first listen. I listened to all that I could find by Angelina for 4 hours straight. Thank you Alan, Pontus and Grandma Ellen. This podcast makes perfect sense, and I'm sure people (or fans of AJ) all over may find this very interesting.

@@markkleckner3060 no reaction channel. I am not a technology nerd. But this experience has shown me the value in story-sharing, topic-discussion on video. Who knows? Several months ago, in a review of my life and feeling exhausted from multiple losses and the spiral of self-awareness/work, I put it "out there:" Why did my path go this way? I don't know what to choose anymore. If I am to do anything for others with this life journey, it has to come to me, because I no longer know where to go looking. And, eventually this invitation came. I am now resurrecting by tiny increments again and my husband is sick, so I'm not rushing anything. Thank you for asking.

I was discussing that very issue with Pontus just last night. How do we follow up an episode like this? Answer- With great difficulty. Maybe others will come forward with their life traumas helped by AJ. But we were really lucky to find Grandma Ellen. She is so articulate, so in touch with her feelings. No actress could play her part as good as she portrayed herself. AP

@@thealanpapier Alan, she was great! No question, a star cast for this role. I find it remarkable the humanity she has retained despite her regrettable past, to the advantage of other people. Angelina seems to have given her the power to reveal herself, a truly healing thing. By the way, I thought it was right to just let Grandma Ellen talk at times, you guys are getting better and better. Your level is damn high now, but it's actually been like that for a long time. I think every 'angel' should check out these podcasts.

Thank you, Joe, for listening to your heart and taking time to reach out with encouraging words. Angelina and voice came into my life during a period of great disenchantment. She is part of a sort of resurrection for me. I know that life is real for everyone. My hope is that Angelina Jordan is never derailed. The mama bears and mama mountain lions are watching. LOL. Just to exaggerate a bit.

@@joetomcat7800 Even before we recorded this, I 'warned' (is that the right word?) Ellen that this would be our best podcast. It was obvious. It was a combination of her story, her use of the language, and her emotional accessibility. Of course, she had some natural hesitations about displaying her pain and vulnerabilities but our priority was to assure and involve her every inch of the way. In the end, it was a total win-win situation. She had access to a unique step in her healing and she also has had the satisfaction of her story helping others. For Pontus and I, it allowed us a powerful avenue to display AJ's impact.

Thank you, Ellen, for sharing with us your life and how it relates to our barefoot princess, Angelina, and thank you Pontus and Allen. I'm older than all of you, but so what. Angelina, besides being extraordinary herself, was born into a very remarkable family that included a very loving mother, Sara, and a forever doting grandmother, Mery (and, of course, her uncle Michael). This is a family of love and compassion that informs who Angelina is, and has become, today...and what that is, well, superlatives fail me. Angelina's emotive voice, her life to age 17, as of this past January, and equally, her family, absolutely soothes and adds joy to my soul, and I am forever blessed that this beautiful person (and her family) came into my life, even if it was on RU-vid.

Thank you Allan and Pontus and Grandma Ellen. I think I got to like the video clip of Shield with bright colours of material flying in the breaze. Train going past in the back ground. Looked a bit like fire lol. In Angelina's last concert in Norway, the stage lights sometimes put these materials colours up sliding across the wall in back of the stage. Which I think was for the song sheald she sang at the concert. Steve from NZ.

My dear Alan and Pontus. Only today, for the second time, I had the opportunity to absorb everything that this episode radiates and that you produced with the company/co-authorship of the very expressive Ellen. It is a validating episode of the great mastery of "our" Angelina. And who better than the three of you to do it. I would love to be able to see Angelina watching this video, better, I would really like your work to be validated by her. I'm sure that would happen. But maybe we'll let her focus on finishing the course and preparing the New Album of songs that she personally promised. As everyone has already said, she was born with this GIFT and it will certainly enhance it even more in the future with her entire artistic career. I need to believe, because the examples of loss from other artistic phenomena left a deep impression on me. What waste, what great losses there were!!!. And the "Great Age of Aquarius" is finally arriving, which has already been sung a lot and, which has not really happened until today !! Peace and Happiness to all World and especially to you my friends (if you allow).

You know Grandma, that's exactly what I thought of when Pontus asked you that, suspicious minds. What would she think of if she heard us talk like this about her? As if she's mother nature herself calming and healing our ruptured souls? Be kind and spread love, her only words about this song to us. She felt kind of silly saying that you notice? Because we are silly. That song is for us. Listen to it in the context of the collective, it will chill you to the bone. Even her growing up in front of us through it. She knows she's hear to help us. That song is now about us, human beings, civilization, and our love for each other. I dare you grandma. She's giving us the business in that one. Well deserved and on point. What you did here, that's beautiful, I've actually asked if she's everyone's mother before. You put yourself out there, made an ass of yourself, like she does for us. That's something I do in my own ways too. That's courage. Except much like her, you didn't make an ass of yourself at all in the end did you. Just helped others feel and heal along with you. I'm in the market for a couple years now, so I hope it's cool I've been calling you grandma. Great show again guys, best show on television honestly. I've known Sarah, quiet as she may be, she's behind this is all I can feel it, and now I know why. How she's strong enough and kind enough to be willing to help us and face the world to do it. Because she has a mother, and so many people don't know what that means in the context she does. She always felt like the luckiest girl in the world. With us, music minds, and of course with her family. If she only knew what that says about her.
