Sure is a beautiful boat Scott looking forward to what your channel is about to offer, I was watching it for the longest time and RU-vid stop sending me your videos so I just binge watched a whole bunch of them prior to the small skiff build. That's how many videos I missed.

I really like this video. A really good feel of years gone by. And still wondering why/how the selfie stick is invisible in the videos. My own boat as a kid was a 13' Lyman outboard. Until the transom finally was more dry rot sawdust than wood. Traded it for a new 13' MFG. I know you remember those. One of the originals from nearby Union City in PA.

The selfie stick gets me every time, algorithms amaze me. Our MFG was ok, until you tried to turn it at speed and then it would roll right up on the gunwale!

@@glassgoat9601 I drove my MFG from the rear thwart, using the handle/throttle of the motor...so I never did a high speed power turn, lol, as I knew it would have thrown me right out of the boat and probably run me over :( I do remember the boat would flex like crazy. As an 80 pound kid I could stand in the boat and shift my weight back and forth rapidly and the boat would flex like a snake in heat :D, the bottom slapping on the water and making waves. I used to love to cross cruiser wakes and 3 foot waves at speed and get launched into the air, smacking down so hard I thought the bottom would split, but it never did. The MFG plant was just 22 miles from home (Titusville PA, summer home on Chautauqua Lake), and being one of the first plastic boat manufacturers, my curious dad watched the boat being made.

@@jalbert222 I had an early fiberglass 14' (1950's ?) from the Winner boat company. It had a small split around 6" long in the keel that would leak water whenever it flexed. It was always like that and never got any worse. I ran it like that a couple of years.

I remember riding along with my cousins in their Lymans on Lake of the Woods . They used them as launches for their resort.

I wish we could get a finished walk around video of unbeknownst. Looks like there was a lot of finishing work and interior fitting that we didn’t get to see as well as a final shakedown drive.

I just posted to Patreon last night that I am working on a beginning to end video of Unbeknownst but it's going to take a while to gather all of the video as it's been several years since I first got the boat. Everything from the last couple of weeks is public on Patreon right now so you can check it out. There are several videos showing Unbeknownst from all angles but I will do that again for the compilation video. I'll be pulling the boat out probably Sunday for the season and then I have some touch ups and additions to make before storing it. I'm planning some short videos of aspects such as the upholstery for Patreon videos in the future. Season3 episode 23 shows the final shakedown cruise. Any other work was done during regular trips with it after that.

Are you really going to use epoxy on those stern rot areas ?

NO, I was joking as I've pulled a lot of bondo out of areas like that and mentioned it before on camera. I'll probably replace from the waterline down with marine plywood. Above the waterline is in really good shape.
