I didnt know WTF the ESP button was on my Saab 93 Aero. Now I know. Ive learned how to turn it on also...Now I wont die as Ive been skidding a bit lately, racing other cars on the M3 Belfast that is. Audi's mainly. Happy days. Thanks mate.
@@RobsCars you can do one where you explain how to turn it ESP off again after it comes back on automatically. No need to do the keys at the beginning, but please explain how to turn the key to "off" position, unless your key gets stuck again. :D
Funny the dislikes, presumably you dont own one? Or have a poverty spec one? It shows you how to do it does it so why watch it? If you're upset because of the language, I dunno grow a pair? It was a bit of a laugh for people with a sense of humour and to genuinely help... or are you all using screwdrivers to operate your cars? boo hoo I'm heart broken. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@dinomow341 unfortunately not, I decided to get rid of it after about 4 years of ownership back in March this year... I have now purchased a TVR as the replacement due in part to my father having owned a TVR dealership back in the 90s, so it was a bit of a homage to him and my memories as a kid. I have various videos on my channel if you want to have a look of both cars along with others. 👍😊
"Esp off" does not just effect traction control , it outright turns off the whole vehicle stability control system, I can only think of a very limited set of conditions why anyone would ever want to do this and they all involve driving the car on race track and taking part in pro exhibition style driving.
Put it this way, I drive without it on when driving spiritedly. You can power-slide out of junctions with it off and feel the rear slide through twisty higher speed directional changes, remember this is 4 wheel drive and 100% of torque can be sent to the rear. If anything it reminds me of an old air cooled 911 with a little more grip. (Point and squirt) The "Electronic Stability Program" turns off breaking to each wheel, which is used to keep the car tracking straight if slip is detected, it just happens to also turn off the traction control. The reason I drive without it on is because a few years back in another car I had with the same system, I hit a patch of oil I went to correct the slide but because the car thought I was a typical ham fisted moron it tried to over compensate for me, which nearly spat me off the road into someone's house. This was at no more than 20-25mph on a tight bend. Put it this way I know what I'm doing, but I'm neither the worse or the best. As long as you're sensible you can enjoy your cars and yes preferably keep it to the track. 👍
Hahahaha 😆 I used to enjoy the crunch of the door connector... as I shut the door. 🤣🤦♂️ Miss that car was brilliant, was the best one in the UK by a long way...
@@RobsCars I have a 2007 Aero V6 FWD. I checked the parts on esaabparts. It looks like they got rid of the ESP/TCS button on the instrument panel in 2008 on SAABs with X-wheel drive.
@@chilidogcats now you mention it, I remember my 06' V6 Aero had it on the dash under the night panel button too. That was a good car, I remember doing a round trip from Kent to Scotland and back in some ridiculous time.
