​@@gentslounge It might help to also explain "why" you tie the wire though.

When you do Sabrage, you're creating a weak point in the glass, and it can shatter. If you tie it with the wire, not only does it make the break clean, but also contains the glass so there's not multiple pieces to gather afterward. Most of the time you're not actually just "popping the cork". You're breaking the neck of the bottle.
