@@timar6868 We didnt have leverage bc Reinhart has made it clear he wants to play in western canada. Hes a rental for the panthers this year, bc he isnt gonna resign there. Meanwhile the western canadian teams know reinhart wants to head out there and so they'll just wait till hes a ufa.

@@onebuffalo5402 yeah I know. But there was always that one spot, usually on the wing, on the top 6 that was always missing. We usually had a revolving amount of different players on the 2nd line playing wing. Now we have a complete top 6. Hornqvist and Vatrano are more fit to play on the third line and we still got Tippett who is still developing. Goaltending is really the only question we have. The defense is pretty good. I still think we need to add somebody to the defense but I think we'll do that in a few days.

At this point I wish the Rangers didn't, Drury got a left winger who will be ready in 2-3 years, since our left wing is weak. We only have Lafrenaire, Panarin, Krieder, and Blais. So weak

One flameout and not living up to their potential is on the player. If THREE of them do it, then there is something very, VERY wrong with the franchise and player development.

Our possible future goalie Erik Portillo is playing for Michigan also, the smart move is to let him and Owen go back to Michigan and win the championship. The year after that he will be brought up more then likely.

Probably an overpay unless he signs long-term for fairly cheap, but he is a solid guy and plays with heart. An upgrade to Hagg, and a potential as high as Ghost if not higher. Not a bad deal tbh but the 2nd AND 1st price might have been a bit too much.

I think he will definitely improve not being in Buffalo. I also think a change of scenery will really do him well. I love the fit with the Flyers for him. But considering he wasn't getting any better in Buffalo and he was a year away from UFA, getting the value we got for him was huge. Could easily be a win win.

Sam traded for the 212 player picked last year...who has only played 7 games in the last year (world juniors)...and who intends to start college in the fall and who has already refused to sign with the Panthers....so why do they think he will sign with us???....oh and a 1st or 2nd for next year. We didn't even get an adult to fill Sam's hole. Great trade for Risto, typical (or even worse) trade for Sam. As for Rosen, so many better players were available then, Why?????

yeah you're on crack. First off they aint gonna move byfield, 2nd of all if they were it certainly wouldnt be with next years 1st in a good draft class. It woulda been for this years 1st and byfield.

@@onebuffalo5402 Look at what Columbus got for Jones. High end prospect, 2 first rounders and a 2nd. Pretty sure Eichel is worth Byfield and a first. Furthermore, LA is trying to get back to winning now while Kopitar and Doughty still have some game left. Byfield doesnt fit into that core or timeline. Trade makes sense for both teams.

And yes Byfield does fit into that timeline Byfield gonna make his debut this year, by the year after he'll be good-great, and every year after that he'll be a top 2 line center. Id love byfield, but they've made it clear there is 0 chance; hell they dont even wanna offer turcotte who is very underachieving rn lmao
