Ever since I had my channel deleted a few years back for appealing a false copyright claim, I've been a good boy. Was so lucky I got it back by doing the twitter thing (also never received a apology), it's basically half my life this platform, helps me so much with my mental stuff. I don't speak now though out against the glorious youtube party due to fear of losing this.

Act Man reports Quantum to YT for breaking multiple ToS including Filling bogus copyright strikes, hate speech, doxxing and ban evasion (which act man found out) YT finds Quantum to be a paragon of YT values and decide to leave him on. At which point Act Man releases a 55 min extensive, content-cop-esque video detailing what he found and why he reported Quantum and why YT was wrong. Few days later Act Man's video is taken down and all this happens. Apologies had to streamline but thats the gist from what i remember
I want to ask you how many videos on this you have watched, have you seen any made by quantum. The act man has made so man shitty tweets and is saying that quantum is harassing his mother when he admitted to saying he would dox youtube employees. He definitely deserves something, he is harassing a smaller RU-vidr that simply didn’t want them to have part of one of his REMOVED videos in their video. this guy is constantly harassing and making false claims and acting as if anything he said doesn’t matter. Like this guy harasses RU-vid employees and says that quantum for simply calling his mother ONCE is harassing her. As a small RU-vid with barely 12 subscribers, that's my problem. I recently got two PRIVATE playlists removed for something I didn't do. I really don't want to whine about it on Twitter, yet it seems like the only way to get their attention. Honestly, it may not work since I'm too small of a Twitter account to be noticed. WHY DOES YOUR HAVE TO BE LIKE THIS????

That’s what I was thinking, and I fear this won’t be fixed because RU-vid is too deep in at this point. For them to fix it, they’d have to publicly admit that they were egregiously wrong, which I can’t see them doing. They’ve admitted mistakes in the past, but this is far beyond a simple mistake.

In most cases RU-vid also doesn't let you know what/which part is actually wrong or bad about videos that get taken down or demonetized. This is infuriating, especially for smaller creators that depend on each and every upload and worked hard to get a new vid together.

I took out those 5 seconds and re-uploaded only to have another 5 seconds show up, this went on for about 3 times before I just gave up

Call me a conspiracy theorist, but it almost feels like someone on the team has taken a personal issue with The Act Man, and has gone out of their way to punish him. It's happened before, don't remember the exact case. The moderation team is essentially a completely anonymous 3rd party that no one at YT can actually contact without going through excessive channels. They have WAY too much power for that kind of secrecy and distance from the main company. This means if someone on the moderation team decides they have it out for someone........ There's almost nothing anyone can do until the rest of the moderation team reels them in and fixes it.
Actually It was said recently that Act man did call out two high ranking RU-vid employees in the video, which explained why he felt his channel was going to get removed

That is just absolutely unacceptable. When you are dealing with people's livelihoods you can't just throw caution to the wind like that and strike/demonetize/ban any channel with so little communication as to WHY they are being punished and WHO decided they should be. Why is punishment always the first option? With communication this wouldn't be a problem at all, but youtube doesn't talk to the people who made their website what it is today. Imagine leaving your work one night and then showing up the next morning, sitting down at your desk and then your boss comes up and says "You're fired." You ask why but he just stares at you and says "because I said so" and then walks away. Real fantastic environment you're creating there youtube. RU-vid is so huge at this point that they think they are invincible, but if they do continue to do this crap it eventually will come back to bite them in the ass. It might take years, but if they keep going like they are nobody is going to WANT to use their platform for videos. Nobody is going to WANT to be a content creator because they aren't sure whether or not RU-vid will just pull the rug from underneath them and ruin what might be years and years of work (And ALREADY IS years of work for some youtubers)

This is like what happened last year with the original first episode of Gwain Saga, except in the case of Gwain Saga, that video got blocked in all states excluding Japan (the copyright was from SME, Sony Music Entertainment), in the case of this video it got completely removed for only that small scene.

The problem with RU-vid, just like cops irl, is that they wait for you to have a violation and punish you from there instead of making you avoid the violation and helping you not to do it again.
That isn't a sustainable practice. How do you find content that's behind a paywall. The youtube algorithm has its problems but its the reason so many channels get discovered.
@@CillBill94 it actually is. People who are big fans of particular creators pay small amounts to watch their content. It's sustainable for those creators and stabilizes revenue. It's usually small amounts per month but fans won't pay this much for 10 creators at once. Just a couple. The issue is it decentralizes content. Content is particular and specific in this new format. Instead of having one place to have all this amazing content, people are going to Patreon or other subscription websites for particular content. It's cool to support individual creators this way but I think it leads to a poorer experience for the viewers in my opinion. I miss the old RU-vid where I go down rabbit holes and have a lot of unfettered, uncensored content on the same platform for days. It sucks now.

It's always easier to say no than yes. Almost every company has this problem, don't worry about the issue until it becomes so big you can't ignore it. They assume ignoring it will make it go away, but the problem is so prevalent that people share it and find that they are experiencing similar resistance too. Complacency has become too common, putting your feet up and telling someone else to deal with it is not working. Getting paid for a job you aren't doing is not acceptable, especially if you expect me to do that job for you.

You're being way too generous, man. For nano-creators like me, we can't even make a "big deal out of it" because no one listens. We have no voice and no one gives a shit or bats an eye. I had this issue 5 years ago where I uploaded a video had at least 30 people watch it beginning to end (I was literally there as they watched it) and the view count never went past 9. Another time I got a video I produced from scratch copyright-claimed by some company, I complained about both to RU-vid, nothing. I complained publicly and was ridiculed like an insane person. I am so done with the platform. I only use it as a glorified portfolio rather than an outlet. I honestly doubt this comment will ever be seen by human eyes, it'll probably be buried under spam, bots and other comments.
I’ve been saying for a while now that I think views are fake. I don’t think the number they display is accurate. I think view counts are entirely falsified by RU-vid depending on what the algorithm considers to be quality content. For example, if a popular RU-vidr uploads anything at all, the video will automatically generate a million “views” - when in reality, only a few hundred thousand people have watched it - possibly not even to the end. When a new channel posts something, and hundreds of people watch it beginning to end, RU-vid will only say that about 50 people watched it. I think the number of “views” is merely an indicator of what the algorithm thinks that video is worth, because more views means higher likelihood of appearance in recommended videos. The platform will _say_ whatever number it thinks the video deserves, and will then censor the video to make that prediction a self-fulfilling prophecy. That’s why so many high-effort videos don’t succeed. I have no proof. This is entirely a theory.
@@AgentYokaiZero Allow me to add some ammo to your theory. There was a stream done a week or so ago by a vtuber (Sakura Miko) of WWE 2k22. In attendance youtube said there were 105k viewers at the peak of the stream, with the average hovering around 94-95k. at the end of the stream the VOD's viewcount was around 80k. at best, there was a discrepancy of 14k viewers. so which one was false, the live viewers or the final count?
@@AgentYokaiZero there were a lot of theories thrown around and one streamer did the voting poll thing to show that youtube wasn't even counting active viewers properly. Speculation on my part, but I think the video views are now the youtube equivalent of twitters "impressions" where it's a weighted number instead of a 1:1 ratio.

There's only 15 videos on the home page, dislikes are removed, community captions are removed, and the webpage is a buggy mess now! You can't search for playlists and you can't even see the comments.
