Sadhguru on What is Karma with Danica Patrick | Reaction 

With Sadhguru here, there is a possibility for people to achives liberation in this lifetime.

Karma is also past Karma - the previous baggage and new Karma - New actions which create new set of Karma, which he has explained in detail in an interview conducted at Harvard. What he is trying to say is that most of us are struck with past karma for most part of life, reacting to it and slowing down new possibilities and new karma. You can be limited by your past Karma/ actions - for every action having equal and opposite reaction. For example: Past Karma of creating trouble to a person can come back to us in next life or next when you meet same person over and over again, going through similar loops. That is also a type of Karmic memory he is referring. It is know as prarabdha karma - a karma which you cannot avoid and have to face for your past actions. Past Karma includes: Karma moving through energy body - your eternal soul moving through different bodies through rebirths. It has the impressions of all your previous life forms and actions. It gets into a body ( child) only when the body matches the tendencies. Karma moving through physical body as evolutionary memory, genetic memory which has its own tendencies.

Karma is indeed action as the literal translation of karma is "action". But action in what sense? Thoughts are action, energy is action etc.. Now, with karma being as every action has an opposite reaction is true and a very simplified explanation, the larger story is that karma is more than that in every Indian spiritual system. Not to say it's false, not at all, it's just it goes a lot deeper than that if we're looking back to what the past sages, gurus and saints said. Sadhguru's book goes a lot deeper as I said in the last video, but Swami Tadatmananda's series of videos about karma gives a good overview about it.

Hi Zuzana, very nice reaction. I've read that if we resolve all our karma, we will lose our body immediately. To maintain a body and to reincarnate, karma & ego is essential. So I guess that's why Sadhguru says our body is karma. It means we are here in this form/state because of our past actions & tendencies since time immemorial. I've also read in the autobiographies of many saints that are completely enlightened is that they maintain a small amount of karma and ego so that they can function in this world and help the masses spiritually. They sometimes, for the welfare and spiritual upliftment of humanity consciously decide not to dissolve into Brahman and keep reincarnating so that we ignorant people can move forward with their help. My own guru (deceased now) had said that he would keep coming back into this world and take many along with him each time 🙏 I agree with most of your analysis. We also believe that all souls are at different point of evolution. However, the end goal is surely Moksha, everything else is Maya. In Hinduism, we believe that pain & suffering is inevitable in the cycle of rebirths. The only respite is getting ourselves free from this. Thus, that is the final lesson. So all of us should better start moving in that direction😄Thanks ❣

Most people think karma as action done to one person to another. But Sadhguru goes into detail. Every small action that is your thought and physical action is your karma. He says every behavioural pattern and thought process a person has is because of karma. Every emotion - Likes, dislikes, fear, anger, sadness etc. Even smallest and insignificant decisions made by a human is because of karma. If you are conscious or focused enough you can see all these patterns and make adjustments/changes for your good. This can be done using various meditation techniques. This is using your intelligence to serve you and not against you.

for Hindus this philosophy is easy. almost everyone knows it. It is new for western people.

Sadhguru is great. He's a great orator. He gets u to think intellectualy. But there are even better masters. Master of masters is Osho. Definitely suggest u to read some of his books and even watch his videos from his channel recorded 40 or 50 years ago. U can just sink in his deep eyes.

As long as the droplet exists apart form the ocean it is subjected to carry everlasting burden of karma. By merging into the ocean the droplet loses its individual existence but through that process it also becomes the ocean itself. That's what known as Nirvana or Moksha where the ocean stands for the Brahman and droplets for the individual souls. The journey of the One ends with him going back to the Source. 🙏
