The Sage Igniter is one of the stiffest and fastest action rods on the market. It may be the best saltwater fly rod for heavy winds like are common when fishing for bonefish, tarpon, and permit in the keys, or for throwing heavy sink lines.
The Sage Igniter is an extremely technical rod that is useless to some, and extremely useful to others. We wouldn't recommend it for your only setup, but if you want to make an addition to your gear and fish in wind regularly, this rod will be great. We've never thrown a rod that moves line as hard as this one. It struggles with shorter shots, but most rods will not be able to push a line into the wind like this. It takes 30 feet or so at minimum with most lines to be able to load this rod, and at that distance, it has a tendency to slap the fly hard on the water. The all American Made chipotle blank with the gunmetal guides and reel seat make this a great rod to look at as well.
