this is fantastic, I looked up this programme on youtube because I was interesting in seeing footage of Tottenham legend Jimmy Greaves, and the first video I come across is a video shot in my home city, the beautiful Stockholm, I am amazed

The chat around 7 mins in is bang on the money, Football has been changing for the worse for many years. The fans enjoyment comes behind the clubs agenda these days which is making money. The big business men installed the American model for sport here. We are probably only a few years away from four periods not two halves. More advert breaks so more money.

Sad! Sky missed a trick not putting the show on a Saturday morning between Soccer AM and Soccer Saturday especially in the early days when Geoff Stelling was finding his feet.

End of an era feeling watching this. With Saint and Greavsie stopping, the start of the premier league and Sky getting the rights to show it. Plus Euro 96 went ok. Even with the bit of trouble after the German game.

Yet people are moaning about the axing of Soccer Am. This show was levels and levels above that show. This show was in a league of it’s own with two footballing icons of the English game, sadly no longer with us, presenting it. Even though it only lasted 7 years, it still got you buzzed up for Saturday afternoon football, back when every single football match was played on that day as well.

After Saint and Greavsie it was Sport in Question, a debate show with ran until 1999 I think.

Brilliant growing Glasgow as 10 year old watched Saint & Greavsie then headed for the PUB lol then to the stadium .Fans are desperate for new light hearted football Saturday morn-midday show Create new same style show .A must would be Ally McCoist BUT who would be good partner Good idea got Jimmy Bullard & Gazza (subtitles required Gazza on travels hunting what club has best Pie) to go up\down Country doing part comedy part serious interviews Why never tried because no doubt be huge hit with footy fans Sky & BT are too serious fans need Saturday laugh. Was like ritual viewing part prep ,feel good factor before went to match. Shows mission to be Bring Back Football Fans Old School Humble Halftime Pie .
