La Hernandez, you are MAGNIFICENT. The squillo in your voice is incredible, unlike anyone else that I can think of currently gracing the stage. When you are heard "at full throttle", there is nothing more thrilling. The last singer to have this effect was the great Ghena Dimitrova and, indeed, I hear A LOT of similarities between your voice and that great legend (although I think your upper register is even MORE exciting). Long may you reign, Saioa Hernandez!!!
The difference between her and her contemporaries is so stark I can’t even explain it. She has none of that ridiculous wobbly siren like vibrato that also somehow manages to be woofy and unclear. No with her we actually get clarity of vowels and beauty of unforced tone therefore also being able to understand the text and get the character
Saoia is now one of the phenomenal sopran worldwide ! Her Abigaille sounds robust, strong and has a complete register from down and chest voice upper to highest and thounder notes !
Primera vez que escuchando esta pieza entiendo lo que dice el texto de principio a fin en la cabaletta del "salgo già nel trono aurato". Muchas sopranos en vez de "va suplicar" en la parte donde las notas hacen una escala ascendente y luego baja, emiten un sonido /a/ muy alargado, sin consonantes y sin mensaje alguno, así que aunque algún purista pueda decir que haga portamentos o apoyaturas no escritas, actoralmente hablando es impecable la interpretación. Vista en directo se oía mejor que en un vídeo con la calidad comprimida para que lo admita la página, por cierto. Brava Saioa, con razón recibió tantos o más aplausos que el barítono que hacía de Nabucco, a pesar de ser este último el rol titular y presunto protagonista de la historia.
Pues, si, como comentan aquí es un rol muy difícil de interpretar del gran Verdi. Abigail es un personaje portentoso, no es una mujer débil, es una mujer empoderada, ambiciosa. Genial Saioa, al fin, esta ópera vuelve a tener a su heroína. Gracias.
Très belle prestation de Madame Saioa Hernandez pour l'un des rôles les plus difficiles de l'opéra !!! Les vocalises sont parfois approximatives et le tempo général semble un peu lent, peut-être pour ménager la diva ? Grand bravo tout de même !
A truly remarkable voice. However, lately, she seems to be bellowing in the middle and getting an unattractive sound - lots of tongue resonance which doesn't need to be there. And, the sound doesn't match the amazing top voice that she is able to maintain. I still find that she lacks a true legato line. I wish only the best for this amazing singer.
La mujer dejándose los pulmones en escena y el coro tratando de distraer al público con esa coreografía ridícula que algún director desvergonzado le impuso. Bien por Hernández, mal por todo lo demás.
Parece el cuerpo de baile de Marilyn Mornroe en los caballeros las prefieren rubias pero de baratillo. La producción tenía más gasto en vestuario que en tramoya, y hacían cosas raras que costaba saber quién era quien y qué estaba pasando, creo que la efectividad narrativa de la escenografía fue muy deficiente. Eso sí, Saioa se ve divina con el vestido isabelino y el rol de mala malísima que es Abigaille lo clava, es un amor odio con su trabajo el que sientes, amor de lo bien que lo hace y odio al personaje que es tan malvado. Y en breve se viene Turandot, la villana odiosa de Puccini, que espero que debute con tanta maestría como ha cantado las villanas verdianas (Lady Macbeth y Abigaille). Menos mal que la he visto también en La Dolores de Bretón menos villanesca y más dulce, aunque parece que su voz pide personajes de "malas" o de mujeres de carácter donde sacar toda la trompeta de agudos perforantes que tiene y alternarlo con el registro grave tan potente pero debidamente cubierto.

Was this person in charge of the secenary on Drugs?? If Verdi was in existence, he would have thrown the whole production in street, and that's what they need to do with this One!!!!!!!! Vergonia!
