I don’t run sliders on braid. I feel it may jeopardize the lines integrity. I usually don’t run mags on sliders either. My sliders are typically SS spoons or even smaller.

Blacks are by far my favorite.

@@tangledtacklefishing thanks for your time and help. How do you use the blacks release? With rubber bands or just twisting the line. When we talked the other day on the phone you advised me with braid on my D.R. to add 100 feet of mono because my stacker clips are rough on the braid. Instead of cutting my brand new 1106B DR ( it has 7 feet of larger diameter cord then diameter goes back down to 200 # braid) I really don't know why the 7 foot section is there. Would it be ok to just clip the blacks release on rigger then Scotty snubber and ball. Then if I want to stack I won't use that close pin type release. I'll use like a Scotty with two clips and hook the little duo snap around the DR braid/line. Hope that makes sense. Last I have an okuma GSC-C-1062H-CG LINE 15-30 ROD With a low profile cold water reel. Ok for D.R. use? It's pretty long for my boat with three people fishing. Wanted to buy a cheaper rod for rigger and diver fishing. You have mentioned the TDR. Could you give me a model number or direct me to a shorter pole that meets the requirements.
