🤩👏👏👏 I knew your hair was healthy but it's even more obvious in that video. Only good hair (as in healthy hair obviously) looks this bomb when flat ironed. 6 years natural, never use a flat iron on my hair. My strands are very fine and high porosity so there is a good chance for damages. But even if I had better hair, I no longer like the straight hair look on me. I need VOLUME!!!!

This year I will be going on 4 years natural and never received a trim since I big chopped. I want to get a silk press and trim because I know I need it badly and I have breakage.

I last straightened my hair in January and plan to straighten once a year. I love my stylist also...she specializes in natural hair and is so gentle and give the BEST scalp massages!! 😍😍😍

Your hair is looking really healthy and strong. I have yet to put any heat on my hair and it has been 3 years. Seeing you get your hair done so nicely has me tempted, but I am going to stay the course because I keep getting it cut and I really want to grow it out this time, so heat damage would not be something I need to risk right now.

Beautiful! My hair was just ruined by a stylist attempting to get my first professional flat iron. She sprayed something called PH3B Perfect 3 on my hair and it turned my beautiful gray hair yellow. Then she tried to wash the yellow out with a blue color. My hair is now thin and lifeless with a ugly tint. I’m planning to cut it all off and start over🤬

Your hair, your smile, and that melanin was popping all the way to a thousand chica!!! You make me wanna go down to Florida just to try her. I do straighten my hair every 3-4 months usually year round minus the summer months when it's simply too hot and I'll just stretch it once for a protective style like braids or whatever. I used to deep condition and then blowdry my hair bi weekly just to pull hair my hair back during that awkward natural length phase. My hair is stubborn not to revert and I'm pretty comfortable with how to use heat so I never make it so hot it's unbearable nor do I blowdry on cool or whatever some ppl do bc that just means too many passes for me and don't *nobody* got time for that!

Got my hair straightened for a trim and flat twist set. Ended up with heat damage, definitely don't plan on using heat if I don't have to.

I am a new subbie, after watching this, you encourage me to go get a trim. Let's just say I am happy I did. My hair was long but it was split all the way up to the root. Needless to say I will be going back every six weeks or so go get it trim. Thank you for sharing your experience. It helped me out alot.

I love the thickness of your hair!!!!! It is so beautiful. I'm not afraid to straighten my hair. I've done it twice since I've been natural, to get my end trimmed. Other than that my stylist (also my best friend), will trim w/o strengthening .

I used to straighten my hair every few months but Ive just been too lazy to do it lately. i havent straightened my hair since may of last year. Not because im opposed to it but because im lazy. I usually roller set with tension rollers then flat iron. Im curious to see my flat ironed length tho so i may do it in the next few months once we get that perfect spring no humidity weather lol

Beautiful! I don't like straightening my hair because of the potential of heat damage, and my hair doesn't stay straight. I'm doing twistouts with it on day 2 because it reverts so quickly and i don't know what to do with it otherwise ...not worth the time or risk for me. Side note. I've been natural since 2002. I've always struggled when my was hair straight, so that might be it too. Beautiful hair, and awesome stylist. Tfs.
