if you live in arizona, you know about our wild horses. they are a local treasure. if you just leave them alone everything is alright.

Thank you jamjam! I do consider myself lucky to be able to observe them living wild and free. I have been doing this for around 4 years now and I have learned so much in that time. I have many more videos to share. Horses are very interesting and amazing creatures!

A better word for what Stallions do, is *compete, they are testing one another, showing their strength, and competing for dominance. It's not to do harm. They are protected now due to public outcry

The public came together and stopped the removal of our cherished wild horses. They are being managed by a group of volunteers working with the DOA and FS. I have been video filming them for almost 4 years now and have many more videos to share here. 💜

The thing now is to speak up for another herd in Arizona that's in danger of round-up, despite its legal protections established in 1973. That's the Heber Wild Horse Herd, in northeast Arizona in the White Mountains of Heber, Arizona. They are healthy, and have maintained their number for decades, and are NOT on BLM land. They live on the federally-protected Heber Wild Horse Territory, a section of land that was legally delineated and dedicated for them in 1973. In blatant contradiction to this, the Forest Service under the direction of the BLM have been talking about rounding up most of them, while fences and privately-owned cattle have been brought in to this HWHTerritory, that was set aside for these Mustangs, NOT for cattle. These horses have been completely self-sustaining, both forage and water, until last year a cattleman's fence kept them from getting to the last available water during the pre-monsoon drought of May-June 2018: at least one horse died as a result. I have gathered all the videos available at the time, of these Heber Wild Horses, into my large Arizona playlist, in the Heber Wild Horse section. The first video of the section informs the viewer, as does the Heber Wild Horse facebook page, where they also give updates. Please learn about the Heber Wild Horses and speak up for them: they're in grave danger.

Horses go to high ground during flooding, and they swim.

Yes they are just fine. Several people did loose their lives because they had no cell service and no idea the water was headed their way. A very sad situation. I think it was 9 people all family members.

Riding horses doesn't have much to do with loving them, actually it's quite the opposite.

They have the Salt River Indian Reservation and the Tonto National Forest. They butt up against each other.

Bob, They take care of themselves and don't need to be fed. They are untouched by human hands and that is the way we will keep it. They are protected by the state of AZ. We love them so much and the public will not allow them to be rounded up as many in other states are.

Fences and privately-owned cattle have been brought in, while closed-door meetings have been planning the horses' illegal removal.

The Salt River Wild Horses get a fair amount of attention still from people around the world, while very few even know the Heber Wild Horses exist. We need to share with people about them. I'm glad you know, but you aren't enough, we need large numbers of people to know, to speak up for them. I wanted other commenters who expressed care for the Salt River Wild Horses to know there was a present day concern for other Arizona mustangs just 2 hours drive away. Please everyone, please see the facebook page for the Heber Wild Horses, check the updates and lend your voice to speak up for them. We need as many voices as possible to cry out for the Heber horses. The Salt River Wild Horses had the Phoenix community to cry out for them and there was an international voice of significance too, but for the Hebers?? They are on a quiet corner of the Mogollon Rim where only a small percentage of the world knows they exist. We must share, and call for the caring to learn of them. I'm sure you agree. That has to be one of the dumbest comment on youtube in general. These horses are much more than fine without dummies on their back, pain bit in their mouth, whips and stuff. Supplementation? Medical care? What the hell are you talking about? These horses look healthier than many enslaved exploited horses. Are you blind, delusional or both?
