Butter Braid Rolls, not the sweet dessert kind if with a Butter layer inside and flakey sea salt. I stumbled across someone, making a braid roll this size, and thought I wanted to try that! So I headed straight to the kitchen to whip it up, I think you can make this with any dinner roll recipe, so use your favorite recipe. I will link what I used below, as always, but I think I would try this with some of my other favorite bread recipes. I put poppyseeds on top because I like the contrast look I've seen with it, but that is completely optional. I spread some softened butter on the rolled out dough, and sprinkled it with flakey sea salt. It resulted in flakey layers in the roll. You can never go wrong with more butter! Try these cute braid rolls for your next dinner, and everyone will be impressed with how cute these are for a different twist on a traditional roll!
200 grams warm water
200 grams warm milk
20 grams sugar
10 grams yeast
600 grams flour
8 grams salt
50 grams softened butter
**I did not add an egg to this mixture but I think it would be better enriched dough if I did, so I will say you can add 1 egg to be a standard dinner roll recipe but you can do it without
Inside:
Softened Butter
Flakey Sea Salt
Topping:
1 egg
1 teaspoon milk
Poppyseeds
375° F for 24 minutes
