The only problem being Devil's Playhouse runs on an almost completely different engine... and I'm not sure Skunkape Games have the rights. ... I'd love to be wrong, though!
@@Harper_Onions They have the rights, I think, because 3rd season is in the works. But, because of the different engine, I'm not sure the remaster will be done in a year, like S2, but I sure hope so.
I just listened to a podcast where a few members of your team were talking about how the remasters got started. So so glad you guys bought the assets and brought this series back to life, I never would've heard of it otherwise and I adore it!!! Stuff this clever and fun is completely ageless. Perfect games to remaster
Wow, I’m really happy to see this remaster releasing so soon! I was honestly expecting it to come out early next year. There’s a lot of great moments in this season, and I’m looking forward to seeing how they look with a fresh coat of paint.
@@carlodavies9227 General Skun'ka'pe, of course. He's been hard at work plugging away on his PC, remastering these games. He says it's because he needs to understand his enemies better. I think secretly he just enjoys the puzzles.

You know, with the remasters of the old games and that Vr game that just came out. I wonder if after there might be a "new season" or game for Sam & Max. I mean, I don't know what the heck they'll do for a new game. Or even if they do a new game. Maybe a storyline involving Time Travel like from the end of Devil's Playhouse, or doing some of the ideas from that cancelled game where they go into space. *I don't know...* I'm just happy for whatever comes out next. Also, I didn't even know the remaster for this season was going to happen. I'm so happy to see it. This was my first Sam & Max game I brought on the Wii. Though I always watched the games on RU-vid, it was so different just playing the game then watching it.

Man I choose a great time to get back into Sam & Max. The save the world remastered had recently come out, a VR game was on the horizon, got to play hit the road for the first time, finding clips of the show and compilations all over youtube, and now the next season game getting a remaster too. AWESOME
Wouldn't it be amazing if they not only released a remaster of the Devil's Playhouse but then ended on a 4th game out of nowhere? Or at the very least, a Sam and Max poker game. You can bet I'd play cards with Sal.
@@Toonrick12 Kinda, but with just Sam and Max characters involved. That can also mean characters from not just the telltale games but also "hit the road" or even the tv series if they can get the rights to them.
I wonder if now, instead of Girl Stinky's Model shrinking out of existence when transforming into that cake (or whatever it was, I forgot), the effect will be a puff of smoke instead. Because we all know what she really was in the end.

Unrelated, the auto subtitles are almost perfect. It got t-h-e-m, it knows what actually is music and applause, and it even gets all the words right. What is happening?

Please please add a GYRO POINTER to the switch version! It would make it the perfect console version and it's the only thing I didn't like playing season 1 on switch.
