Wow some groove here. I really enjoyed this. Rich tight sound from this trio. Finn and Clif awesome on their instruments. And drummer keeping a tight rein on things. Awesome🤗🤗🤗
All it needs is just a little bit of coordination- great trio - respect to the left hands of everybody!! ❤🎉 or is the bass line played by pedal? Anyhow respect!! ... a i guess i saw that footwork at the end. Crazy.
Hi Eddie! I am enjoying your video up here in Toronto, Canada in 2023. Great performance! I hate to be the guy asking about equipment, but I'm hoping to upgrade my cymbals in 2024. I see you're using the Zildjian Custom Dark 18˝ crash. Are your other cymbals and the hi hats also Custom Dark? I play jazz standards (part time and not professionally). I will be looking for a used set. Would you recommend these?
Thanks for your kind words, Wayne. There's no doubt that Zildjian makes fine cymbals, and their K and K Custom lines are certainly a good choice for jazz. But the reality is that each individual cymbal has it's own unique character. Two cymbals that are the exact same make & model can have radically different sounds, so you really need to audition the cymbals in-person and choose the ones you like best. While I do like Zildjian, I play many different brands including Bosphorus, Istanbul, Crescent, Paiste, and others. My point is: pick what sounds good to you. Your cymbals are a part of your own unique sound, so have fun creating the "Wayne Sound."
Erstaunliche Orgel-Präsenz mit unauffälliger Fußtechnik - mal ohne die "JimmySmithian-Wonder-Styles"- und gespielt auf einer aktuellen Suzuki-Hammond-Orgel SK-2 (??) - mit einem supertollen Schlagzeugspieler - Kompliment!!
Jazz organ trios generally don't have a bassist. The bass notes are provided by the organist using either the pedals or the left hand. The normal instrumentation is organ/guitar/drums.
Thanks, Francesco. The traditional instrumentation for an organ trio is organ, guitar, and drums. There generally is not a bassist. The bass register is played by the organist with the left hand and/or feet.
