Street Fighter Alpha 2, also known as Street Fighter Zero 2 in Japan and Asia, is a 1996 fighting game produced by Capcom originally released for the arcades and later for home consoles, including the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES), Sega Saturn, and the PlayStation. It is the second game in the Street Fighter Alpha series, a prequel to Street Fighter II.
The intro for the game features the characters Ryu, Ken, Chun-Li, and Akuma, as well as other characters who appear in the game. The intro may vary slightly depending on the version of the game being played. However, the overall theme and narrative of the intro are generally the same across all versions.
In the intro, Ryu, Ken, and Chun-Li are shown training and preparing for battle, while Akuma is shown meditating on a cliff overlooking the ocean. The intro also showcases some of the special moves and super combos that the characters can perform in the game.
Overall, the intro for Street Fighter Alpha 2 is a memorable and iconic part of the game that sets the stage for the action and drama that follows.

I have decided not to include the Windows PC version, since it uses the same video as the PS1 version. By the way, I'm surprised by Capcom's laziness for the Playstation intro.

For what ever reason you used the Zero 2 Alpha intro and not the regular Zero 2 intro. All that's different though is the background of the title screen at the end. The regular Zero 2 intro though features the same background as the others rather then the red background with the scrolling 'Alpha' words shown in the background.

I'm a big fan of the SNES version - they really managed it to put the arcade's huge content in a 32megabit 16bit cartridge, and it plays very close to the original. Only some background details, animation frames and SFX were removed (the OST sounds also a little different on SNES, but honestly I even prefer some tracks) or slightly altered but that's just necessary. It's a really awesome 16bit port of a great arcade game!

There's some slight lag issues, that keep it from being considered top tier, but homebrew developers claim that could be fixed. And it's understandable that it'd be rushed a bit, with the 16-bit market in its dying days. It was a shock to see it on store shelves, much less looking that good.
@GXSCChater
@GXSCChater Год назад
@@juststatedtheobvious9633 Where have you been? Homebrew developers have fixed it, but we did found out that it was the bad sound engine creating all the lag! So now there is a proper version that fixes the sound engine issues and removes the loading times and patches in the shin akuma code to just holding select on akuma.
@juststatedtheobvious9633
@juststatedtheobvious9633 Год назад
@@GXSCChater Thanks for the update. I only know about the lag being fixable in the first place thanks to a Google translate of Portugese, and the Real Bout Genesis port. It's difficult to find homebrew I've missed, because literally every ROM patch these days is cynically listed as an improvement, regardless of what it actually does.

Been aware of the SNES SFA2 port for years and still amazes me how much of a technical achievement it was to program the game and is actually a pretty solid port aside from some loss of animations and sound/voice effects.

Alpha 2 gold is great, in Japan it was a standalone release called Alpha 2 ' (dash). Both of these games are home console releases of "Street Fighter Zero 2 Alpha" The final and best version of Alpha/Zero 2. That game was an arcade game that was released in Japan, south-east Asia and South America. It is the ultimate version. There was even a Japanese guide book about it, providing incredible detail on every difference. Have fun! Note. You can also play it on the ps2 collections after unlocking It.
