I wish I was there. Seeing Joe Satriani rarely play an acoustic guitar, and jamming with other legendary artists like John Mayer, Sammy Hagar, James Hetfield. It's a whole different experience and a different vibe but lots of fun.

Thing I love about established musicians is how all these great guitar players can just slip in to rhythm mode with no ego and just let the song ride. And Tommy showed up ready to play and keep it all driving, with just some tasteful embellishments here and there. So good

"A piece of my heart" has been covered many, many times. Tbh, Sammy Hagar's version from the "Standing Hampton" album is my absolute favorite version. Sammy knocked it out as they say.

@@sturgisbaby9050 not at all. I give Seger his due for writing the song, but l prefer the Metallica version every time. I think it has a more full sound, I like the drums being more prolific and present in the song. The guitar solo is great and adds another dimension, and James Hetfield’s vocals scream of agony mirroring Seger himself. Plus I think the electric guitar lends it self better in the screeching lead that is played with a sax I believe in the original. I like the original version as well but I think Metallica perfected it in my eyes.

And from a guitarist perspective,I heard Jerry and Bobby in your playing. being a Dead fan for almost 40 years having an opportunity like that. I can only imagine stories youve heard have an afternoon chat with Bob Weir. What!? I can only imagine what it feels like playing next to them. that's bucket list . And then everyone else there.
