I don't get why people hate on Sammy. He smoked the guy in the race so the guys says, "Hey I'll just tear up some more of my own shit to prove I'm bad?" (and probably get DQ'ed for the night) Where was the obligatory helmet throw to add to the torn up parts?
@@gene877 You are right, I worked as a lap scorer for Ruapuna Speedway, and he is one of the most moody and arrogant people I have ever met, - and I have met a lot of famous drivers - I was tempted to turn off his transponder for a laugh... 😀
@furor tonicus I see that differently and most Sammy haters would. You neglect to mention that he was squeezing McDonald down at the start so when he put the gas to it to take the green McDonalds car kicked into Sammy. Here is the deal, even if what you say is true it was racing. What Sammy did was intentional. The reason people like me dont like Sammy, he is a hot head. I have watched that guy drum up fights, hit people on the track because he is a hot head. He is dangerous and he got what he deserved in this race. I notice that when Sammy doesnt have backup he doesnt want to fight but when he is surrounded by a crowd then he wants to fight. The guy is a complete ass and has been his entire career.
@lipfishingthosebass5812 Not in that order and Swindell doesn't make my own top five, and barely breaks into the top ten tier list. But that is just opinion.
Everyone's on Swindell's side.......but.... we didn't call him Slammin' Sammy for nothing in the 80's n 90's....he will run over your left front in heartbeat.... Ask Kinser, Allen, Doty, Blaney and so on!
@@shawntaylor4415 clearly YOU have never seen sammy drive lmao hes an asshole and will run over anyone, I've seen it plenty of times in my lifetime. Biggest douche bag I've ever met too. Slammin sammy for a reason lmao
I do not believe Sammy did anything wrong there, on the start he tried to pin the guy down as close to the bottom, this then would help Sammyu get the run on him off the start, the #21 simply had enough to pull ahead, while Sammy took a bad angle into the first turn, the next lap, Sammy got the run on him and had the preferred line, while the #21 got in the marbles, got loose, and Sammy's car having the perferred line, simply bit, and jumped up the track, and the #21 jsut happened to be there (coming down to boot). Sammy did nothing wrong. these young kids are spoiled brats with money behidn them, and dont know preserve their equipment, they will risk damaging their cars cause of their temper.
Problem with racing today people are scared to get their car scratched or dirty I don’t understand that sometimes bumping it just part of racing you don’t mean to but sometimes you have to make a move the younger generation of racers are not used to the aggressive racing style the older man had they come out to play and put only show to look pretty they come out to get paid in the win
Swindell didn't do anything wrong besides out drive them he won't take that crap when I was a kid we saw Steve kinser and Jack Hewitt about a year apart threw punches at Sam just cuz he beat them lol
Can’t help but lol at the comments how many guys that said “that’s just racing” have ever driven a sprint car lol that’s shit you do in a late model not an open wheel car
We’re not playing netball here. It’s a contact sport. Does he think he’s the first person to accidentally get tapped during the start of a dirt track race? I’ll bet most didn’t even have their setup dialed in at that stage.
Yep, Steve Kinser, Sammy Swindell, Doug Wolfgang were three of the original Outlaws!! Fun to watch, and helped make the sport it is today, this young hot shoe has no respect for his elders.
you're the same guy who shows to a race in the middle of the heat races bitches because you had to park too far away, crowds into the row where there is no room, is up and down the aisle every five minutes. thinks you don't need to wait in line in the pits to greet a driver, acts like an ass to a driver just because they beat your favorite instead of respecting the fact that these competitor's are literally endangering their lives so you have something to bitch about. I have seen your kind at the racetracks for 40 yrs.
thats an awful long time to admit to being a fucking idiot, can you tell us or me what you saw sammy do in this race that deserves your ignorant comment, oh i get it , he our drove the rest. you know if this prick did the same to a few other drivers in the sport he would have his sorry ass beat into the ground. if he had any balls at all he would have stepped up and faced the man instead of destroying equipment, oh and if i didn't make it plain enough, fuck you.
Is Sammy a good driver ? Yeah , but that doesn't change the fact that he's a hot head whiny little bitch , who's deserved to get his ass kicked on MANY occasions.
Aussie dude got into Sammy a tiny little bit at the start so Sammy gives him a wheel on the 2nd go round, didn't amount to much at all. Aussie dude bumps Sammy again on the cool down so Sammy pays him back again Still doesn't amount to anything yet. Then Aussie dude goes nuts.
@Videos of the past Kofoid has shown himself to a be a bloody great driver. But NZ drivers obviously don't stand a chance. Statistically, a country with 350 million people is going to produce more top racers than a country with under 5 million. NZ has around ten tracks that actually run Sprintcars, and only about 13 that can run them. A single state in America could have that number of race tracks. There are less than a hundred total Sprintcar drivers in NZ, a number that again could be found in a single state of America. And to become the best, you have to race the best. You don't improve when you aren't challenged, and American's get a lot of chances to race a lot of the best. Some American's do 70-80 races a year. The top NZ drivers do about 30, with only one who travels internationally getting more than that in. And American tracks are banked allowing faster speeds and a completely different style of driving. Only one NZ track has any considerable banking, and Sprintcars don't race there. Kiwi's just don't have the ability to get as good as the American's. Just like Australians are in the middle as they are larger, have more driver, more tracks, and compete more than the Kiwi's, but not as much as the American's so they come up short.
Jerry Coggin - You geogrophically challenged or something? This is Western Springs, in Auckland, New Zealand, you know, where all the "nasty Hobbitsis" are from, idiot!!
@@ladonnagauchat6428 its not hard to figure out how to spell his name. Everyone knows how to spell champion or winner. Especially on a backyard trash track like this where driving really matters.
Do you not know, when some hot head comes up to your car itching to fight, you stay in your car, play it cool, and le the asshole make a fool out of himself. Ralph Earnhardt taught Dale Earnhardt Sr to stay in his car, until the other guy is done kicking his car. Sammy was calm, relaxed, and cool in this video. These young kids are SPOILED BRATS with money behind them, and they are punk bitches.
@@TerryWilsonModels sorry but in my 56 years of racing I got my azz wopped more times than not-face to face with my fellow driver like real men--I would never use my race cars as a deadly weapon--JUMO
25FIREBALL well good for u....let me tell you about Sammy....I have watched him use his boy jeff hold down people while he tried to gouge their eyes out...he is as dirty as they come....I loved every second of it...
@@thxman1968 oh boy... someone that likes to insult instead of having a constructive conversation... i think i learned to quit doing that in high school... jesus... its opinion and besides sammy is the worst... they dont call him slammin sammy for nothing dude... he is a dirty driver always has been.. and he is a dick of a person... love how this ended though... sammy didnt do anything.. cause he is yella... coward
Either way, when it comes down to it, I'll put our best against Aussie's and NZ's in Sprint car racing. I'd put a lot of my local drivers against all, Pa Posse...
There is no argument!!! Americans followed by Australians are the best in the world. World of outlaws and World Series sprintcars prove that every year.
