In this video we will show how to replace the Samsung LED strips in this TV.
It is recommended to take pictures during the repair process to use as a reference point.
Be sure your TV is unplugged.
Remove the screws and the back cover off the TV.
Before removing the back cover, disconnect this cable from the main board.
Flip up the back cover and also disconnect the cable to the wifi module.
This may not be necessary on all TVs that use these LEDs.
Push the clips through the chassis that hold the LEDs in place.
In order to access all of the clips you may need to remove some of the boards temporarily.
We do not do this in the video, but it is recommended to tape the speakers in place so that they do not move around too much.
Disconnect the ribbon cables from the scan drive boards.
Release and remove the bezel from the chassis.
Release the scan drive boards from the clips and gently fold it up and tape it to the panel.
Remove the panel from the chassis.
Remove the panel by using a suction cup or by lifting from the sides of the panel.
Do not allow the panel to bend as it may crack.
Release the panel frame from the clips and remove it from the chassis.
Tape the layers of diffusion in the corners and lift them from the TV.
Slowly and carefully remove the reflector sheet as it might be stuck to the chassis.
Peel back the tape over the LEDs.
Disconnect the LED strips from the power supply cable and remove them from the chassis.
Align the LED strips and secure them to the chassis with the clips and connect the strips to the power supply cable.

Thank you from Poland! The advice with tape fastening speakers was good. It is a pity that I forgot to remove the tape at the end because now they dampen a bit strangely.

Thanks for the great video. With the information from your video, was able to get to the led strips, replace them and tv is now working like new. The battery test to check each individual strip was a great help also. Only the middle (12 led) strip was at fault but replaced all three that came in a set. Great job on your video and thank you.

I'm really mad that I never thought to take pictures throughout the process for reference but I'm even more mad that no one suggested it to me before. Thousands of hours wasted on incompleted electronic repairs. The money I would have saved.

What kind of tape is that you're using on the strips? Is it necessary? I managed to get the original tape to stick on (it's only on the ends), it's a threaded tape. also, I didn't take the diffusion off taped together, I did this before I saw this video, but i've worked on tvs before (soldering caps on power/video boards for LED and DLP), however never done LED replacement. Which diffusion goes on the LED side? Lastly, the adhesive holding on the LED reflector is no longer sticky, should I get some more or is this not a big deal? I did get the 3xstrips from you SJ, thank you for that

Hello Jimmy I have an Led problem they need to be replaced. I know this for fact. The problem I'm having is that it seems the Led replacement kit for my Samsung TV version doesn't exist. At all. Heck I can even find any on eBay that might have been taken from another crack TV or whatever. Is there anything else I can do? I don't wanna give up... New panels are used by the OE Manufacturer to replace those that fail under warranty. Once the model goes out of production, the only source for replacement panels is used or broken TV's.
