Your honest opinion pls.....is the A70 better than the A50 (in terms of everything)????.......cz I read somewhere that the Exynos on A50 is actually better than the SD 675
@@its_godlyrl2066 you're saving money at what cost? you have to take the differences between the two phones into account, so realistically speaking, saving money isn't always a "wise" decision
i'd rather go for the A8 which maybe it has a weaker performance than the A50 (anyway u don't notice it in real life) but it has a better design, build quality and looks like a modern phone not like a 2013 S4 plastic built
I'm sorry, this is probably the stupidest review I've seen. Haha. I'm loving my a50. I've had all the flagships till recently, and I've literally noticed no difference.
yea I agree. he said you can notice a significant difference in performance when he was opening the apps when most of the time it was milliseconds of difference in time taken to open the app and 1 or 2 seconds of difference with the games.
It's a shame when he is getting a little annoyed by split second differences and doesn't account the MASSIVE price gap to the minimal performance gap, we expected it to be slower than the s10 but it can still compete due to the price
it's because it is..He is a reviewer and he's exposed to numerous flagships..maybe you're the one biased for midrange/entry-level phones... there's a reason why they're called "flagships" y'know
@@mariodiasdasilva2410 I know right...if he established the review from the beginning that it's a possible flagship alternative, it would've been fine but he compares it to a flagship as if the A50 is a bad phone overall.. I see what you mean
@@LilTime77 camera is no big difference, fast af is not true, my gaming PC is fast af, download speed depends on your internet connection, and the 0.2 secs of opening games does really matter huh? Someone has no idea of tech right here, and that's not me
@@schneeflocke6584 broski im not comparing it to a pc , i am comparing to other phones , and low budget phones varely even last they get slower in like 3 months
@@LilTime77 I agree with you buddy, GPU performance also matters, games run better on the flagship device, the screen resolution is higher, it supports HDR10+ too. Flagships are also built better and they have IP certified rating.
@@Geertt nah, the fingerprint performs just fine, I mean like it's not an ultrasonic sensor, it's just at optical one, but anyway if you do want faster fingerprint recognition just register the same finger thrice
not a 500 dollar difference ... but you can tell he's paid to push the expensive model. The A 50 will do whatever you need. Keep the extra money in your pocket
You don't need the S10 for flagship feel device, In fact you can have that experience for cheap. The current pricing of A50 coincides with old flagships with the likes of S8 and LG V30. Reviewers should revisit those old flagships for better comparison pricepoint-wise.
Nick, pls .. this video just proved that the S10 is not worth it .. ya, the real difference is the camera, and nothing else, .. 2 sec faster load on an app is worth getting a x3 priced phone? .. pls...
whats my point? my point is that Nick is biast towards $$$$$ phones , and i can understand that .. when u have enough money u can get the best, but that doesnt mean u have to be biast , the only real diff between these 2 phones is the cam , is that worth x3 the price?? ..
@@Codyslx he is saying it better for the value and he is correct for around 700$ your getting a slightly faster phone ... The a50 for around 700$ cheaper can basically do everything the S10+ can do so for (VALUE) the a50 wins hands down
I wouldnt say it was ever faster but outside of gaming it was bssically less time than it takes to blink behind. This is a landslide win for the a50 when you factor price.
I'm already happy with my a50, my old phone is a lot slower than a50, even if I play the lightest game, the battery drains 2% after 1 minute of gameplay in the old phone.
I'm planning to downgrade to A50 I do not need to pay extra money to play games on my phone and i could wait a few seconds rather than pay about 600.00 more just for speed.
@Chill Vibes really the price of the s10 is going to be slashed in half in less than a year. A phone is not worth a thousand dollars that's laptop territory prices.
You can letterly get the A50 with the best budget phone performance and still have enough money to go and return from a holiday (Say a week). Wouldn't that be more satisfying than having a 1000$ phone that opens Twitter 1 second faster ? WHAY ARE YOU TRYING TO TELL US NICK??!!
@@ItzSebas1550 Where I am there is a bit of a difference in price, about $130 when converted. The S8 has a smaller display, so really the A50 should be compared to the Plus version, but even then it's smaller. On the positive the A50 has 128GB of storage, in-display fingerprint reader and a wide angle camera. You can get the 4k with a camera app. I'm not sure which to go for.
@@StopMediaFakery i was finding it hard deciding a50 or s8+, i asked few ppl and honestly i rather have the flagship (you already know the features etc.) so s8+ it is!!!
My A50 has 6gb of RAM, which would probably more than make up for the difference in speed between S10 and the 4gb A50 featured in the video. I have my A50 one week and cannot believe the speed! Also features 128gb storage
After 6 months of use, I changed my A50 for the S10+ because I really wanted a flagship and was in love with the S10 series, but the A50 is a great smartphone too.
A point I would like to raise is that I agree with all the comments that the difference in speed isn’t slow enough to justify the price difference between the two. The A50 wins there. BUT how is the A50 performance in a year with a phone full of apps, photos and music etc... That’s where you will really see the performance difference and potentially be grateful to pay more for the S10’s consistent speed and power.
Own the S10+ and my son the A50. I'm still amazed by the amount of value he got with the A50 and how close in performance they are. Of course the S10+ is faster but at 3X the price it should be a lot faster....
@@raspy__ Of course a high end processor will age better than a midrange. But your A50 will not be useless in 18-24 mo. , and by that time most people I know are looking for a new phone anyway. I estimate my son will loose $150 during those two years, where as I will probably loose $350. Minimum...
I always been a user of theS series. However i had an A50 as gift and i started using it as my main device. Surprisingly this is the most impressive device i have ever used in my life...
Unless your a gamer then is it really worth the extra money for Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to open 1sec faster?? I'm not sure....the jump now between generations just isn't that big. Unless you play games constantly
Every apple iPhone is a flagship, that's why you don't notice much of a difference when going from one to the other. But here you'll surely find a way more snappy experience on the S10+ because it's a flagship while the A50 is a midrange that costs 1/3 the price of the S10+, if you try to compare the S10+ to an s9 or even the s8, you won't notice this much of difference.
@Jade Kilgallon actually yes I do. I own an S9+ and my friend has an S10+. If you really think the S10+ is much faster, you are directly falling prey to Samsung's (or any mobile company for that matter) marketing schemes.
@@Prxwler Actually you are right lol. I didnt even need a S9+, I was completely content with my S7 before it, just wanted something new. Likewise with my S5 before my S7.
In short... if you don't care about a hundredth of a second difference in practical usage, and hate rolled edges CONSTANTLY causing accidental screen touches... save yourself $700 and buy the A50.
The difference in speed is noticeable only if you have several games minimized or running in the background as you did which is not a typical scenario. Even then, the A50 was only a couple of seconds slower .
The 1300 price tag in Australia for the s10 against 400 for the A50 for the delay of a couple of seconds i know which one I would go for and it is not s10. I am personally very glad that I brought my A50
I wanted to get the A70 but now that I see the A50 in comparison to the S10, it really doesn’t seem that different. I love these new A series phones and I’m currently using an iPhone. Really happy I’m making that jump to Samsung. Thanks for the great reviews Nick ☺️
Very true. I got the s10 exynos and it keeps hanging while playing pubg and also a lot of frame drops, heating issues, fast charge not working, edge lighting works randomly. Don't ever buy anything with exynos in it.
I completely understand the point of this video, but $300 vs $1000...I personally couldn't justify the extra $700. The gaming, from what I seen in this video, is where the S10+ only really completely dominated, but in everyday average consumer performance is the extra $700 justifiable? Just my thoughts . Great video.
So funny seeing all these butthurt people in the comments being mad that their $300 phone didn't beat a flagship phone. Don't get me wrong however the A50 is a great mid-tier phone especially for the price, but there was just no chance that it was gonna beat the beast that is the S10+.
I have the A50 and its honestly 'enough' phone for almost everyone. The finger print reader is my only annoyance. It misses often and I have to redo it to open. Maybe I should clear all my loaded fingers and try again.
I agree. He does this because this is what people want to see. Reality though is that it's because people can't afford the high spec one. He does this because people love watching it.
If you play games or enjoy quality of life perks life super fast wireless charging, sure it's worth it. Otherwise, it's like you're paying $700 more for 7 frames faster performance.
