@@diyorbecks6853 i don't know about s23...I am very much satisfied with pixel7. Top notch camera....no issue with heating or battery. I don't play any games so for me it is very good. Recently I bought pixel7a alsi, it is almost similar to the pixel 7.
I chose the Pixel 7 and I am loving the experience. I manage to take great photos without any hassle, and the price is really good for what you get: a fast enough processor for everyday use, great cameras, and amazing clean software. Everything feels streamlined in order to get your productivity going. The design is also very easy on the eye. I just love it!!
Ah I can't express how thankful I am for this video. I've been a Samsung user for the last 7 years. I'm currently on the S20 Ultra and I felt the need to upgrade since it's pretty old now and the body has taken a lot of damage. However, the S23 was just too expensive. I found Google Pixel 7 to be a fair price but I just couldn't find testimonials where people chose the Pixel over S23. I forced my mind to just accept that even tho I'm not getting the best phone, I'm still getting a pretty solid, great phone. I feel much better about my purchase after watching this video. Excited for it to arrive and have the Pixel experience!
I love pixel but I always like small phones. For me it's one of the most important thing. I'm using P5 & thinking of an upgrade. If google wouldn't produce small phone in the near future like a P5..I will change to IOS but not S23..most probably will wait for Ip15.
Went from P5 to s23 because all the phones out right now are way to big. The s23 is the exact same size as the P5. Could never go to iphone because that phone and software would drive me insane. Samsung does have or quirks. But it's much better than it was in the s3 days (my last Samsung phone before using nothing but pixels til now)
I'm in the same boat as you have the P5 now don't like how pixel doesn't make a small phone anymore and I just can't trust Samsung they've burned me in the past before. Might have to jump ship and go over to the iphone.
@Jthall1990 no. Trust me... Eye have hated Samsung since being burned multiple times with my s3 (ended up buying the blue and the brown one multiple times). But this s23 (regular) is and has been amazing. And once you download good lock and watch a couple of s23 tips and tricks videos, you will all see how good these new Sammy phones are. And you can literally customize every single part of your phone, without a 3rd party launcher. This s23 is the best phone Eye have ever used. It's legit everyone!!! And it's literally the same exact size as the P5. The P5 almost fits the P5 case perfectly with a tiny bit of wiggle room. But they are exactly the same size. You will not regret it at all. There are just some settings you can learn to make it work like a pixel and better. DO NOT SLEEP ON THE SMALLER s23. Peace everyone! 🤞🏽🕶💜
very tough choice. I ultimately went with the pixel because of the software alone. Everything else is pretty comparable with samsung, but pure aosp android is such a joy to use.
@@mroctober3583 With the icons on one UI they look childish and cartoony With the quick settings it's just that they have never made a change to it, it's been like this forever
Went with the pixel 7 and regret it! Screen turns green and freezes. After getting a replacement and the same thing happened i did some research and it's a known issue that Google can't fix so they just keep sending out replacements. I'm running back to my S23
After much contemplation went for S23. Pixel offering OS updates for just 2 years (some say 4, others say 3, don't know what is legit), while S23 getting up to 4 years of OS updates and 5 years of Security updates, made me choose S23. Areas where S23 wins: Display, Design aesthetics, Price (Samsung has so many offers & discounts), better software support, larger storage (128 GB to 512 GB, mine is 256 GB), more RAM, More powerful processor. Areas where Pixel 7 pro is better: Camera (only slightly better than S23 tho), Earlier software updates (for the 2-3 years it might support), Good voice to text conversion (S23 is still good in this, but Pixel is better). Quite pleased thus far with S23.
Pixel gets 3 years os updates and 5 years of security updates. I don't usually keep my phones for more than 2 years so it doesn't make much difference to me personally.
Good choice. At this point one can't fo wrong with any of them. S23 might not get updates from Day1. While pixel will get it early. That's the only difference n Google launcher is bloat free. I assume Google will optimise the OS for the base phone which is Pixel 6 for the next couple of years means things will be a breeze in Pixel 7.
Nope. Pixel is 3 years OS Updates, not 4 or 5. Security Updates is 5 years. S23 has a glass back. Honestly, with those Charging Speed, Battery Life, Tensor and Design, Pixel 7 is totally not a winner. I would be ready to pay more anytime to get this S23. Pixel 7 white edition is nice.
The number one perk of the S23 (and previous Samsung generations in the past 5 years) is the size. It's the only small flagship available on Android. The only one that compares is the iPhone 14 Pro, and that is in another price category. Manufacturers only target their phones at dudes with super big hands or those who want to use both hands to hold a phone. Samsung is the Android only manufacturer left to produce good sized phones. So as much as I'd like to get a cheaper, simple phone, they are just all too big.
@@91bez both not on the level of the S23. If I was to get a new one I’d wait a month for the new Pixel, that could challenge the S23 even though it only has 2 cameras
I wish samsung would change those ugly quick tiles and large colorful icons with a more asthetic one. One UI is the main thing that keep me from buying samsung phones. I know it got lots of features but it just looks outdated and ugly to me. Iike why the settings list are so inelegantly spaced out with those large unnecessary spaces. Just plain ugly to me.
I personally feel when you make highend phones then you must keep thier design unique, sadly that is not the case with Samsung, thier now mid range and Less coslty phones all look same from back, where as pixel and iPhones just make two phones and with unique designs.
This review seems quite biased and uninformed. Firstly , In advanced mode you can adjust the screen colour profile to your own liking. if you turn off scene optimiser it tames the over saturation. Samsung offers longer support than Google at present. Has he never heard of changing the icon pack and goodlock let's you change the look of the notification panel .
As usual(i.e., as of this post)with Samsung phones, compared to the iPhone Pro and Pixel 7 series, Galaxy phones suck at capturing pictures of moving subjects (e.g. kids) mostly blurry free 😢. Year after year Samsung can't get the latter right. Love the phone otherwise.
I have the s23 ultra and I'm glad someone else hates the notifications on Samsung. I can't stand the icons on the lock screen and not being able to preview them. Also not a fan of the duplicate apps or bloat ware. I wound up ordering a Pixel 7 because I prefer stock android and the s23 ultra feels like a brick. I'm looking forward to using it once it arrives.
The only thing i check for when I research if a Samsung is worth buying: xda . If the Developer tag doesn't have any ROMs, I will NEVER buy it. I would rather have a MUCH slower, MUCH older, uglier phone over even the latest Samsung because OneUI is SHIT.
Yeah I had the pixel and now switched to the galaxy. I thoroughly enjoy the samsung better. Samsung hardware is second to none. Pixel feels cheap. Software is the same imo, but samsung can multi task
Upgraded from s21 ultra to Google pixel 7pro, currently in talks to return the handset and go back to Samsung, you just can't compare these phones, the Samsung is far superior
But nothing beats the Pixel experience. Samsung could never. And yes, using an s23 at the moment. But the pixel software and photo camera and experience as a phone and pda (personal data assistant) can't be beat at all
@@mackmccord3743 the UI of pixel is slightly easier to use, the quality of camera on Samsung just out shines the pixel in every aspect, I took same pic with both phones Samsung far better, the zoom function too is amazing, I buy phones for only the camera, got pixel due to reviews of how good it is, now I'm disappointed and returning handset for Samsung Purley based on camera
I really hate my pixel 6. It overheats constantly and crashes occasionally. Sometimes I can't use the flashlight shortcuts or any other shortcuts until I reset my phone it's been hell 😢 but buying a Samsung is basically like buying an iPhone pretty much the same and I hate them though so much but lately that's about all att has to offer and I hate doing max brightness in the daylight
Does anyone know if once you play around with the contrast/saturation of the S23 to get the look you want, can those changes be saved so that the next time you pull out the phone to take a pic, it keeps the changes?
No, but great question. That's about the only thing I'm unsure of with the S23. I take lots of family photos on my phone and don't really want them to look like "colour pop" versions.
Trade in is not discount......you need to add how much your phone cost to the total. A lot of morons think they got their phone for half price after trading in $500 phone......you need to add $500 on top of what you paid.
weird, I really dislike the Pixel after the 4 xl, the visor is really uncomfortable and a nuisance. I MUCH prefer the so called 'Bland", at least' in the hand
I sold my pixel 7 for Samsung s23. I reqlly like Samsung s23 size and display. The only thing I feel it goes for pixel 7 would be the battery. Still didn't test S23 battery but this is my initial impression
@@tangerine2164 after testing it for one week, I could say it's an amazing battery. It could last for one day of regular usage. I think it is like the one in pixel 7
One more camera review ! You guys so called tech reviewers have no clue as to what to say despite the phone attached to your camera, Uselss reviews. Enough of that.
