I don't know how you can even review the Fold 4 when you don't even have one. All of your photos and videos are of the Fold 3. I came here looking for information and all you did was read off specifications for a phone you don't even have.
In battry drain tests Fold 4 does 30 minutes of screen time better than S22 Ultra. Not everything depends on battery capacity. Optimization and new generation of processor also play the role.
I have enjoyed every Samsung Galaxy Note phone they made and now I am trading in my Note 20 5G Ultra for a Fold 4; it is a go for multi-tasking! Thanks Saki for your great reporting.
I'm in the same spot as you, mate.. albeit one year later and also still running a Note 20 5G!! Been using Galaxy Notes since 2011. Such a difficult decision,, considering the Fold4/5 at the moment vs S23 Ultra. Wondering how you've adapted to the Fold, and will you go back to the traditional style or continue Folding?
Im giving the Z Fold 4 a chance. I hope it doesn't freak me out since im coming from IOS after 7 years but the foldable screen and the beastly specs own me over. Fingers crossed 🤞
@@jacksonwangsfan8681 i upgraded from 20 ultra to a fold 5. my enjoyment improved from having a bigger screen, you don't notice the fold if your using it, need to hold it at an angle to see it and the camera is better. it feels smaller in my pocket from it being narrower so being thick isn't a problem. before i wouldn't put anything in my pocket with my phone, now it feels like i can fit stuff in there with it
I just returned Z Fold 4 and decided to keep S22U, money was absolutely not the issue here. But let me explain some key reasons: - almost all of the RU-vid videos or movies when you watch from z fold 4 due to the cut out you will watch it almost at similar actual screen size as S22U, so bigger screen doesn't really do any good. - Front screen of Z Fold 4 is too narrow, typing well is almost impossible. It will make you want to use your phone less or feel less comfortable using it. - Phone is bulky and quite a bit heavier than S22U and that extra weight and bulkiness really makes you want to use your phone less. - S-pen not integrated to the body of the phone changed user experience significantly when compared to S22U. And the Z Fold 4 does not lay flat with most of the cases so you can't really write comfortably with it. The S-pen experience is greatly reduced. - I like to take quick notes with S22U, but to do it with Z Fold 4's front screen is very uncomfortable because of typos and you can't use S pen for quick notes. These are the key reasons for me to return Z Fold 4. I'm not saying Z Fold 4 is not a great phone, I feel the build is super good, but when I was about to trade in S22U I really feel like I miss it more. So like some ppl said, I envy those who made Z Fold 4 work for them but S22U really fits my everyday use a lot better than Z Fold 4. This is my super honest feedback =D
Thank you. I am a s20 user just got my Zfold 4 today. I'm having buyers remorse. #1 z fold 4 is heavy and thick. I agree about it being too narrow when folded. I think I'm going to reopen and get S22 ultra
For me the s22 ultra is a good fit and great all rounder, The price is one thing and ok bigger screen when open but I also use a laptop so that can also replace that making the s22 ultra good in between. And even if they make a better fold later on the same applies to them rather stick to the S line of phones.
Great presentation I have the s22 ultra coming tomorrow. With samsung trading the s22 ultra is only costing me 500 dollars. I may get the z fold 4 later. With samsung trading program I'll probably get more for my s22 ultra then I paid for. Theyhave a great trading program. Don't know how they do it.
S22 ultra Only knocks are dont buy the defender otterbox makes phone feel huge like carrying a brick and phone pen is on the left it sucks for me cause im right handed
Hang on to note 20 you drop one of those phones and you have everything on your phone your scared . Not worth it you can buy a 14 inch galaxy pro second generation coming out .
I admire you if you keep the Note 20. I loved mine, but I traded it in for the S22 Ultra. The S22 is thicker and heavier, it's nowhere near as comfortable or svelte as that beautiful Note 20. The screen is even technically smaller. Other areas are truly negligible, except the cameras really are terrific on the S22U.
I bought the s22 ultra when it released and I'm happy with the phone. It is future proofed but the only thing I don't like is the battery life. On heavy usage it will last me 12-16hrs. I only use 70% of the better those and never let it go below 15% or above 85%.
All these people saying the fold doesn't have ENOUGH features to upgrade from the s22 ultra...my question, why would you wanna upgrade to the next gen anyways? The years of amazing ingenuity year after year are long gone. I'm upgrading from an s10+ to the fold 4 and tbh I don't even feel that impressed with what I'm getting myself into. However, that would be the case for ANY upgrade at this point.
The fold is a great phone but currently I have myself the s22 ultra so until Samsung decides to create a longer battery life within the device with better cameras as well as built in s pen I won't be switching to the fold. They have a little way to go but these are big issues with th3 device that need to b3 taken care of if they'd want users to transition into the fold phones from the S devices.
You are wrong z fold 4 has longer battery , there is youtuber tested, even 5000mah vs 4400mah z fold 4 won 1 hour longer than s22 ultra, the price difference is only $600, my thought is the same, you buy 1 tablet for $600 but you get all the best in one phone, there is no way you can compare a traditional phone to a game changer phone
Right. The Ultra series is better for everyday use. If you haven't owned a zflip/fold you would say they're better. It all depends what you use your phone for
Having started from samsung fold 2 and fold 3, i cant go back to a standard phone anymore, i love the big screen and the phone overall, simply i cant notice the crease, if I'm immerse in the game or a show. I'm excited with my pre order of fold 4
Was all set to get the Fold 4. Taught an extra two week class to save up for it... but that camera. Can't imagine payinb more for less, if they had given the S22 Ultra camera I'd be all in. Now, the wait for next year...
Thank you, for confirming I made the better choice with the S22 Ultra. The biggest deterrent for me against the Fold, was the screen crease. My OCD would not survive that.
So I thought the same, but after trying the fold 3, I didn't think it was bad, and I gotta say, contrary to popular opinion, the fold 4 has a less prominent crease. Used one the other day to test before mine comes in, and you honestly don't even notice the crease if you're actually using the phone and not searching for it. And even when you run your fingers over it it's not bad. Cameras make it look wayyyy worse than it feels. Definitely not a phone for everyone, but I'm constantly splitting my screen and multitasking, and a candy bar phone just isn't good enough for what I do anymore. Way too much lost time trying to find apps I just opened, copy and pasting, editing, phoning while making notes, etc.
I'm OCD and eventually you don't even notice it it's only because you don't have one so that's your talking point but once you start using it you don't notice it
I'm a long time Galaxy Note user (since Note 3) and I was disappointed when they downsized the undercover Notes (S22 Ultra) screen size. The entire reason I stayed with Note is due to its large screen size and phablet capabilities. So for me the Samsung Folds have the potential to attract the Note buyers. I didn't get the Fold 2 due to its slower processor lack of S pen etc and than the Fold 3 came along and gave me hope! So I waited to see if the Fold 4 would hit my must haves and it did! I use a standalone camera so the camera quality in a phone isnt a deciding factor for me. The size of the screen, the speed of it's processor, the size of its storage, the device having a stylus and it being water resistant are major deciding factors for me. I'm looking forward to seeing how far Samsung will evolve the Fold series! Already pre-ordered my Fold 4 yesterday from Samsung. It comes with a free case that includes and houses the S pen, I am receiving a $900 credit for my trade-in (undamaged Note 20 ultra). I can't wait to experience the screen size on the Fold 4 while playing games, reading articles and researching till my heart's content without having to turn on my computer gaming setup 🥰 This is a win win for me.
And another good news. Samsung give cheaper price for screen fix on fold/flip devices. So don't surprise on cracking screen and don't open and close to often too. Good luck
It's not 200 dollars off the price. It's 200 dollars of credit to buy galaxy buds or a watch. It's after you select your phone. It then says you have 200 credit.
For watching videos on youtube, it seems like you're getting more from the Z Fold because of its bigger display, but, you actually lose a lot of video content when you utilize the full screen like he did because when you utilize the full screen, the video content on the sides are cut off. On normal view, you will get huge black borders on the top and the bottom, making watching videos on the S22 Ultra actually better.
@@clos1764 ... It's the same size. The only advantage is multitasking. But considering that a lot of apps are not optimized for the Fold, it degrades user experience. S22 Ultra is better.
I've been using the fold 4 for a few days and I decided to keep my s22 ultra. It seems like almost a downgrade for every day use. I don't walk around with the fold 4 open while I'm on the go
@THERISING22 honestly, nope. However it's based on my needs. When I had the fold2 I was working exclusively remote and it came in very handy with the larger screen. I have access to the office now so it's a big deal and I prefer being able to use my phone with one hand.
I sold my fold 4 to fully use my s22 ultra, before i used fold 4 as privat and s22 ultra as phone during work. -I work in a dusty environment so in the beginning i took the fold 4 to work. But after a dusty day, the fold 4 will have cracky sound when u open or close the screen, also the screen cant open 100% (but like 99%) anymore cuz the sand or dust in the hinge. That time i had to use a strong vacum to vacum the hinge of the fold 4 everyday after work. Yet still the open/close system will not working good as new. -unfold the phone is fat already. But if u buy the original case with the pen and the front. The phone will become really fat. So in the fat way handling the small fold 4 screen and the s22 ultra onehanded is the same. -when i used the fold 4, in 80% of time i used it with the screen closed anyway. -i hate using case for the phone. So in order to not lose my s pen, for the fold i had to use a case. -s22 ultra have the pen inside which is really good to edit a photo or video before sending -camera diff That were the reasons why i now use my s22 ultra fully and sold my fold 4
You should also be able to add a floating app, if you already have the maximum number of apps open, by dragging and dropping from the side bar. I can do that on my Fold 3 and Note 8.

sorry to tell you but you are ysing a Fold3!!! this comparison is so wrong on every aspect! I know because i have a fold3 and i know what are the real differences... yours doesn't have Android 12L bottom bar
Yes but when you go full aspect ratio on the fold four it actually cuts off some of the screen when you're watching it on the Galaxy S2 ultra you get more in the picture I have noticed this with my Samsung tablet as well as my phone which is why I don't mind the black bars because your eyes will not notice them after a while anyways
I ordered a Galaxy Fold 4 at launch purely because as my job expands, I'm becoming a very heavy power user and I'm constantly running 2 or 3 apps at a time, and after ordering, I went to Best Buy and tried it out, and WOW. What an incredible piece of technology. I don't think I will ever not be amazed when you unfold it and that big inner display starts up. The brightness compared to my current phone (Pixel 5, not known for brightness) is staggering, the colors are beautiful, and the phone just feels so premium I almost forgot about the price tag.
How has the battery life been with you? Currently considering one of them but I'm worried about battery life as well as durability. When I actually went to check them out in person, I fell in love with the Fold in seconds.
@@absaw5735 Sorry I didn't see your reply! Battery life has been fairly good actually! Very heavy use days I have to charge by like 7pm, but most days of light use I still have 60-70% left by 5-6pm. Durability has been good so far, folded it probably a few hundred times and no signs of issues, although I live in Canada and I did one fold in about 0°C and it made a noise I was definitely not comfortable with, but it never made it again and no visual damage or issues! I'm also in a very dusty trade, so it sounds a little gritty when I first open it in the evening, but after a fold, any noises go away and it's flawless. Held up better than I expected so far for being in the forestry and mechanical industry day in and day out.
@@ferrari5347 Well I'm happy to tell you that I already bought it, and loving it so far. Best phone I've ever had and I don't see myself going back to a regular design phone, which stings because these are pricy haha. But definitely worth it for my usage. Thanks for the reply, mate. 🙏🏼
After many years of using iPhone, with budget available, I would like to try something different since iPhone 14 can't impress me too much & I know it's going to take some time to use to it.
The ONE thing holding me back is the camera. 4MP front facing, for instance, is pathetic. So, being into photography, I'm having a hard time making a decision at this price. Side note: Saki, please stop with the spiders and snakes! 🤣
I am a Note fan since the Note 3. Multitasking is something I use a lot and is the only reason I want the fold 4, but that skinny outer display is a deal-breaker for me, but if the fold series had a built-in S pen I would have gotten a fold already.
2:38 it doesn't matter that it has a larger screen, because nobody watches his movies, tv series or youtube videos in that aspect ratio anyways, so in the end, a normal phone screen size video will be displayed with huge black bands at top and bottom which cannot be utilized most of the time whilst watching a video (unless it's a square video for some weird reason)
Thank you! Can't believe I'm not seeing more people call this out in the comments. The claims that for videos "you quickly realize why in this aspect it just is better than the S22 Ultra" and "more immersive screen to watch movies, consume media" are just flat out wrong, because that depends on the aspect ratio of the video itself. And since the vast majority of videos/movies are wide screen, the extra screen space on the Fold is useless for that. The only videos that would benefit from this are old squar-ish 4:3 TV shows (1990s and before). Look again at 2:43 and you'll see the video used for the side-by-side comparison is zoomed-in sooo much on the Fold to fill the whole screen, that it ends up cutting out way too much of the sides of the video! No idea who wants to miss like half of the video like that. The funny thing is, if he didn't zoom in, the S22U would be "bigger" because it is taller, hence better for wide-screen videos, and you'd just have gigantic black bars on the top and bottom of the Fold.
@@Roger-Verbal-Kint if people want to carry a tablet in their pockets so damn much, they should go with rollable screen technology rather than foldable anyways.
I sacrificed the cameras on the S21 ultra to get the fold 3. I truly missed having the range and clarity of the higher end camera on my device, especially in low light and video situations. I'm back with the S22 ultra now (I was a hardcore Note user anyway). I would say give the fold a chance. It really was a great device. But if you're like me and a big camera user..... you'll probably regret it if you're coming from the Ultra line.
Fo the battery, the s22 ultra may have the bigger battery, but the z fold actually has the longer battery life because of the improved processor. It also generates less heat than the S22 ultra
I really hate how Samsung will not bring back the SD memory card to any new phones. This is why I still have my Note 10+ but I do need to upgrade because I am annoyed with this 4G LTE.
Almost ordered the Fold until I dug deeper. Its GPU is Adreno 670 while the S22 Ultra is Adreno 730. Why the fold gets the faster CPU paired with a last gen GPU is beyond me! Pass!
the inner display is wider but not as tall as the 22 ultra. and not twice as wide either. i was thinking of getting it but do you get that much video room it just looked more zoomed. will look at one today. i don't go full screen movies as you loose picture full screen is nice but not if you lose picture same with the 22 ultra
Thank you for helping me make my decision to purchase the S22 Ultra. The built-in S Pen is the deciding factor for me. The better camera and battery life are great, too. I would love to have the Fold4 if it had those features, and the deal you featured in your 8/13/2022 video, "Do not buy Galaxy Z Fold 4 before watching this," is killer. Best trade-in price on my Galaxy Note 8 ($475), but in the end, just not enough to make up for the built-in S Pen.
I really like the fold 3 for media consumption, but I'm disappointed that an $1800 phone has only a 12mpx camera module which is subpar to the note 20 ultra. The note 4 has a better camera module but that's not enough of a reason to upgrade again. Since I take so many pictures with my phone, I'm considering trading in the fold 3 for the s22 ultra or wait for the s23 ultra.
Hey Saki! I still have a Note 20 Ultra (ALAS! the last one of its beautiful kind... 😭), bought a couple of months after the launch in 2020... by the look of it, I would be a complete idiot to switch to a Fold4 or even a Galaxy S22 Ultra... could you please share more about your S Pen experience with the 3 models? The S Pens on the latter 2 seem really thicker, even chunky on the Fold 4 compared to... maybe, the entire Note series... but how would you rate the multi-tasking/functionality, responsiveness, ease of use between the 3? Thanks a mill!
Going from the note 20 ultra (like me) to the s22 ultra would be a very incremental jump. The only main difference is the camera module, which is pretty incredible on the s22 Ultra to be fair. I'm only considering the fold 4 (and keeping my note 20 ultra as a spare phone) because multitasking is important to me and I often find myself wishing I had more on screen at a given time. I think all of the advice content creators are offering is very generalised, because they can't anticipate everyone's individual usage styles. Goodluck with your choice! :)
Actually from the results that we've been seeing comparing the fold pictures against the s22 pictures the fold pictures have been coming out unanimously better than the s22 Ultras pictures. And yes you obviously get the hundred times soon on the s22 but you do now have the three times optical zoom now on the fold which for me will suffice. And I believe the other major difference is the fold can't do 4K 60 frames per second on the ultra wide lens. So I don't know if I'd actually call the s22 ultra a better camera we'll have to wait and see. And again you're wrong about the battery. Test have shown that the fold 4 lasts longer than the s22 ultra in same conditions and it shown I believe 11 degrees cooler over that amount of time. That's also what the preliminary testing has shown.....
Well , the brand new fold with a new battery and newer chipset really should have better battery life than a 6 month old used phone , come back in 6 months and do the tests again , my guess is things might be a little different, the fold also has way less screen resolution on both screens , also the ultra has a way brighter screen, it’s not really apples for apples comparison .
You're right I sat here with both and I'm getting the same time only a little better in gaming on the smaller screen on the s22 ultra but if you do look in the video it shows more time on the fold for when he's got the battery app pulled up but I don't see much of a difference
I hope the s23 ultra gets an upgraded under display camera. I would like a fold one day, but until the battery is better and you don't compromise as much compared to the ultra I'm gonna have to wait. Love my S22 Ultra so far.
I love mine too EXCEPT the battery life. No matter what I do, it is drained by 1pm. Loads of instant messaging for work. My colleague on the other hand uses an iPhone and her batter is at least 70 percent at the end of the day.
Disagree on a couple of things. Performing tests, they both have the same battery life with Fold 4 lasting longer usually. Also, the cameras on S22 ultra on paper are better but Fold 4 performed better in many scenarios. Samsung killed it with the Fold 4.
Thank you Saki! Great job on the comparisons 😊 The fold would have to UP it's game a lot more for me to want to buy it. Too many non-starters at this point and the S22 Ultra is simply amazing ♥️
The display of the Fold is larger but it's an awful aspect ratio for watching videos. Most content is in 16:9 or even cinema widescreen. So you either cut off a lot or you have huge black bars. This is why I never bought the Fold 3 even though I really liked it as a whole. If you watch 16:9 content without zooming in the usable part of the display was the exact same size as the display of the Note 10+ I was using at the time. Since I mostly use my phone to watch movies the Fold 3 made no sense for me. I hope future large foldables will have an aspect ratio closer to 16:9 or 16:10.
I currently use a Note 9. Love it, perfectly happy with it except for no more OneUI or Android updates. Was going to wait for the S23 Ultra. Decided to pre-order the Fold 4 unlocked from Samsung to use *in addition to* the Note 9, then upgrading it to the S23 Ultra next February. It helped that my cell provider showed a newer plan where I could get that one extra line for $6 less per month than what I'm paying now. Also traded in a Tab S5E & a Watch which saved me over $200 off the Fold 4/Watch 5/Buds 2 pre-order bundle offer from Samsung. I plan on using both phones and look forward to learning all the new software & features. I passed on the Z Fold 3 & the S22 Ultra, so I'm stoked to have the Fold 4 in a week and the S23 Ultra in February.
I'm on the same boat. Samsung is having great incentives right now. I purchased the S22U over the Fold 3 earlier this year (coming from Iphone). I'm huge into photography however, I noticed the screen real estate is hard to edit photos on. I have to really zoom in since I prefer using mobile editing apps over PC. I decided to make the jump to the Fold for the screen and to see what it can do before the S23U releases. From there, i can see whether the fold is for me or if I like a traditionally shaped phone. Excited!
Remember your getting 5G capability too with the upgrade from the Note 9. Better Cameras, better OS, better Gorilla Glass, better battery, better screen resolutions. I went from a Note 8 to the S22 Ultra with the Note 8 trade in and I was thinking about waiting until the S23 comes out but looked at the new specs and it wasn’t going to be a huge difference so I pulled the trigger. I didn’t like the fold 4 because of the fact that I use the phone with my right hand most of the time and wouldn’t want to walk around with the fold 4 opened up because I might drop it so then I would be actually using a smaller phone one handed most of the time. The S22 ultra is huge at 6.8 inches and that’s what I’m used to. I also have a 12.9 IPad Pro mobile version which I love also.
Im so sorry to disapoint someones, but this video is fake The fold used in this video is a 3, not a 4 and for prouve, the sides of the fold4 are glossy in all colors and if you look at the sides of the fold3, they are mate in all colours
Exactly! That fold phone is Fold 3 not Fold 4. Fold 4 has wider outer screen with slimming bezel on the left side. As for the inner screen with much slimmer bezel as well. Also when open two apps side by side in inner screen, a multitasking taskbar will appear at bottom instead of side.
Saki, please, how visible is the line in the middle of the Fold 4? Is there a case for the Fold 4 with a place for the S pen? How much the S pen and the case will cost? Thank you🙏
It does have a case with a pen slot which can also be removed so the case is flat when you don't wanna take the pen. It's around $90. And with pre orders now, they're giving the case and the pen for free.
SO DISAPPOINTED IN THE FOLD 4!! I wanted to upgrade so bad from the Galaxy Note 9. Because the Galaxy Note 9 is such a great phone there's really not much difference other than the cameras. My phone is fast enough it does everything I want. But when seeing phones that fold with bigger screens that's awesome!! No idea why anyone would want the flip It does not save space it's no bigger than the Galaxy 22 ultra when you fold it in half it gets thicker SO HOW DOES THAT SAVE SPACE!! The thinner phone when it's opened fits in your pocket better so you better off just sticking with the 22 ultra and you have no crease to stare at!! But the fold gives you a lot more options for size!! WHAT'S UP WITH THE CAMERA SAMSUNG ON THE FOLD 4!!! ONLY 50 MEGAPIXELS VERSUS 104 MEGAPIXEL OF THE GALAXY 22 ULTRA!! ONLY A 10 MEGAPIXEL FRONT CAMERA!! ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME!! IN THE 22 ULTRA HAS A 40 MEGAPIXEL!! ONLY A 3 TIMES OPTICAL ZOOM VERSUS AN EIGHT-TIME OPTICAL ZOOM FOR THE 22 ULTRA!! WHAT A FREAKING JOKE NOT AN UPGRADE WITH THE CAMERAS AT ALL!! IN HIS THE KICKER THE GALAXY 21 ULTRA HAS THE SAME QUALITY CAMERAS AS THE 22!! THE 21 ULTRA HAS BETTER CAMERAS THAN GALAXY FOLD 4 AND IT'S ALMOST 2 YEARS OLD!!! YOU GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!! WILL NOT UPGRADE HOW STUPID!!
Hey Saki one thing that's been taken from these phones is the IR Blaster which I've always used ALOT. Do you know of any ways I can get that functionality on my S22 Ultra?
Is it worth it to upgrade from a note 20 ultra? I do have a note 8 I could trade in but I kinda want to keep the note 20 ultra since it's the last of the note series.
I've had my s21Ultra for a couple of years or so now. S21U and S22U are essentially the same devices minus the spen slot and the slight physical design change. I love my S21U but I like the concept of the Fold phones. I rarely use my cameras and if I do, I tend to not even use them to their full potential. I will miss the 5000mah battery but it is a sacrifice I can make since I have ultra fast charging capabilities. I've started the process of trading in my S21 Ultra for a Fold 4 and I am excited. I tend to not upgrade for two years so this will be a nice change. I've been getting sick of the traditional phone design thus far and have been craving something more unique.
That's what I was thinking, I never understood why they hold back on the camera quality on the Fold. My aunt has the Fold 3 and took a few pics with it and I believe the Note 10 Plus still has better photo quality than the Fold 3
I recently purchased a Z Fold 3 for *1/2* the price of the Fold 4. I really love the Z Fold 3 (in silver). Really a productivity powerhouse. I'm sure the battery life and other things are better on the Fold 4, but I'll wait until 2023 and the Fold 5 to upgrade.
Still in doubt... I do value a good camera quality, on the other hand I use my s20 a lot for watching videos and reading ebooks... and I also have a tab8 tablet, which i'm very happy with. But I have to admit, im using security cameras and for some reason they only connect with phones, not tablets and I would love a bigger screen to watch. But im thinking if the ultra is the best there is, wouldnt it be crazy to just go for 'novelty' instead of (camera-)quality.. Another big question, how is the fold for using as navigation in your car(holder)? I imagine you cant fold it out to fit in most regular holders?
This was my question as well. I think I'll upgrade to the s22 ultra i have note 20 now, the flip and fold is cute, however I don't think, its that convenient, like while I'm doing the dishes I like to watch movies while having my phone on hand, I have a cradle attached to my kitchen cabinet and this small screen on the fold and the flip will not work for me. . I don't like viewing things laid flat, I have tablets in my home already. And if I wanted to travel long distance, like on a ling distance train like say the Amtrak, id just take a laptop.
@@Moralmediachannel I did end up getting the fold and thus far (a week in) no negative comments yet. It has been amazing for taking photos and especially reading Ebooks. (Even better than reading ebooks on my tablet... 👌
This is probably silly but when thes22 ultra came put I noticed that the deals and pricing after the preoprder period expired the prices were actually lower. Any thoughts on this as I am considering upgrading from the 22 ultra to the fold 4
You gotta update your video. Someone did a test with a bunch of phones side by side by side. Z fold 4 outlasted the s22 ultra in battery life due to the new chipset being more efficient.
I don't know why I was hoping that the Fold 4 would have a better camera. Thanks for a very well constructed comparison and for stopping me from paying stupid money :)
Full of errors: 1. The speakers are not the same. Fold 4 has two grills instead of one and the sound is more pleasant. 2. The basic advantage of Fold is the work of the overlay. Everything opens instantly, there are no lags. S22U with exynos is a tragedy. 3. A larger battery does not mean a longer working time, which can be seen even in the attached screenshot. A better processor means a longer working time. 4. x1 photos are better on the Fold 4. Megapixels aren't everything. 5. SPen features are not identical. In S22u just removing the spen from the housing allows you to write after the screen is turned off, in Fold4 you can only write on the inside. 6. The durability of the S22U is questionable due to the rounded edges.
I would have suggested to start with disclosing the camera difference at the very beginning of the S22 Ultra advantages as everything else is expected.
I just watch a "camera comparison" and frankly this is pretty embarassing. It feels like you either don't know what you're talking about, or you're extremely biased for god knows what reason. Either way, sad.
