Gengavari That's OK. Different people have different preferences, but if you are able to try other Metroid games, you should go for it! In my opinion, it only gets better from the original and Other M.

Kotero Zelda BotW did this too! I like it since it shows you have the Special version. The cover also lacks the ESRB rating so it looks nice & clean.

Consider this: Game Grumps is a largely successful RU-vid channel. Recently, they had a tour of their new office and showed off that they have TWO OF EVERY Amiibo and most Skylanders lined up on a wall; boxed and unboxed. I imagine Andre has something similar where he keeps his collectibles, including each and every special edition console he has recieved.

While that one is pretty good, Crashed Frigate is kinda underrated, so I think it's better for it to be in there rather than Phendrana Drifts.

That's odd, the back of the Samus Returns box has the Zero Mission ship, even though it was destroyed. What is even stranger is that in game the ship is the Metroid II/Super Metroid/Metroid Prime 2/Other M ship.

I've seen things you wouldn't believe. I saw a Mario-Rabbid crossover in the middle of E3. I saw the number four glitter in the dark of the greatest title card. Now all those moments will be lost in time... like tears in rain. I'm not dying until I play Prime 4 though. When that happens, then it's time to die.

AWESOME! Nintendo does it again! This unboxing (and the rarity of finding this stuff in the stores) is just a reminder of the relevance of Nintendo and it IPs to gaming. Thanks. I was just able to find a pre-order for the Samus Returns Special Edition game but that BEAUTIFUL Amiibo set is sold out everywhere. If I want to stay married I can't get another 3DS even if it has that SWEET Metroid deco.

The 3ds looks amazing even though the inside is black, at least its not that grey black color they put inside the majoras mask 3ds xl, this one is more like black black so that makes me happy 🙌🏻🙌🏻

My new 3DS XL was stolen in downtown Chicago on Sunday! I went to downtown after competing in the Nintendo World Championships. My switch was still in the car thankfully but they also took all my cash. So I will be picking up this new special edition 3DS hopefully!

Hey Andre, two questions, does the glass on the metroid amiibo cut your fingers? And can you do a video where you compare both the smash Samus amiibo, and the Metroid Samus amiibo? Because they look quite similar, and I think people would be amazed by that.

Those amiibo are sooo good so much detail cant wait to get mine and they out did themselves with the packaging for the game i mean still would have liked to get this collectors edition from europe but was surprised at how good this looked still and tho im not getting the 3ds since i have one already its nice to see metroid gettin this kind of attention again finally SAMUS IS MOST DEFINATELY BACK!

You know, it's nice and all that Nintendo went to these lengths to commemorate the revival of a once dead franchise, but it really can't compare to the love AM2R's developers have for Metroid. They toiled through 10 years to release a product of pure adoration for a franchise Nintendo had largely neglected back then... And free of charge too! I realize that Nintendo reviving the franchise themselves is of much more significance to most people, but I really hope AM2R isn't overshadowed by this game and forgotten because of it.

Can we just take a moment to realize that the soundtrack included isn't for this game specifically? It's for all sorts of games in the series. Also, no Federation Force! Pause at 5:01! It's a bit of an unorganized track listing, though.

I really wish they just made the top the yellow/red Samus' suit color with a cool suit design, instead of separating it between the top and bottom with a silhouette of Samus. Or better, have the Helmet design on the front with some suit design on the bottom. Maybe with a LED to make the face shield glow.

Considering the late release nature of the Samus themed 3DS ...they really should have included a larger memory card and a FREAKIN' power adapter already. It's so dumb they don't include that still. Holy crap, on the back of the game box, that's the ship from Metroid Zero Mission! ...Well, not the same since that got shot the hell down but ...same style.

Nintendo's special edition consoles are always far too limited. I've never seen one in stock ever. Also it has always bugged me that the special edition designs only cover the outside of the console and not the inside near the buttons and screens.
