Poor city management! Cities' sewer lines need to be cleared, unclogged, maintained year-round!!! Let's vote with our brains and not our emotions please!
My prayers are with this community. And the best part the lady found her dog and he was OK this made me CRY. Fur babies ARE family. Give that dog a steak not a bone he's been through hell.
The federal government has made it virtually impossible to go after and sue them or the State. It also takes a considerable sum of money and time to find an attorney than investigate & endure the cost. Especially when you can't pay your rent next month or cover the insurance deductible if you could even afford insurance ..So it's highly unlikely that will happen. 😪
it wasn't their fault- those entities aren't charged with keeping that flood channel clear. the city and possibly the county will feel the wrath of their impending lawsuit(s). those people have complained multiple times about the condition of the waterway- undoubtedly some of them have proof of that. if there is a mortgage- then there is insurance. see how that works? @@pjt3887
Name one disaster the citizens effectively sued the city for disasters like this and won? I’ll wait I can name Katrina, flint Michigan, Hawaii etc etc goes on and on all failures and no1 is held accountable. Notice only Trump is held accountable lol
He said the flood insurance could be around $800 a year, get it then. Lot of people spend more than that on drugs , alcohol, cigarettes and unnecessary stuff.
Our dogs are our children. Cats are a little more independent and can have a little better chance to jump and climb, but we are crushed when they are in trouble. Some of our kids have fur.
you act like this is the announcement for insurance. they suppose to advertise every type of insurance everyday? why dont commenters think more than 1 move ahead when they comment xD
Technically, most of San Diego is in a flood plane. The city built flood mitigation that was not maintained properly. Kinda how you don't maintain your intelligence with education.
I think their major problem is that they have paved over the whole state and the water has no place to go into the ground so it all runs off causing a flood.
🙏Prayers going up for Miracles and Blessings for all the homeowners and Citizens of San Diego. California is being hit with so much 🙏. This was horrible. 😢
Insurance is the biggest Scam in the world, they should just have one policy for your house no matter what happens to it. As someone who lives in Florida, it’s getting ridiculous.
You have to read it before you get it man look at this people now I bet you there almost bankrupt all there eggs in one basket is not smart without a back up plan
We haven't had large wild fires in this area in years. We have had continued rain this winter so the ground isn't hard so that flooding is not from the surface runoff. The flooding is due to too much rain in a short period of time, simple.
@@nickiemcnichols5397 even good infrastructure and nature filled regions can fail to too much rainfall in too short of an amount of time. Look at what happened to us in Europe last year when we had an atmospheric river hit us after months of steady rain. Most of my country(Slovenia) is full of nature yet half of it got flooded, since we ended up getting more rain than we'd get over a normalish weather year, it all fell on us in a day.
Hope everyone in San Diego county is ok in the end 🖤 that happened unexpectedly to where the 78 in Oceanside was closed I was at work when that was happening! Be safe everyone
Yep i heard that along time ago! Its sad that some don't even have that option its so important to have. But insurances has so many claws so make sure you ask alot of questions and have it on paper what's included! Very important! Not on paper, they won't pay! MAY HEAVENLY FATHER POUR MANY BLESSINGS AN PROTECTION ON THE PEOPLE IN THERE TIME OF NEED IN JESUS HOLY NAME AMEN 🕊🤍⚘️🙏🍃❤️🍃❤️🍃❤️🍃❤️🍃❤️🍃❤️🍃❤️🍃❤️🍃❤️
i am not in a high risk zone, but my house have insurance for all possibilities. hope i pay all my life and nothing happens ... no fire, no severe storms, no severe water...
What the fuck was going on with that dude it’s like he stole something that was on fire and tried figuring it back out the truck he wanted to make sure you guys seen it though. I can’t believe he put this on the air.
Interesting that the channel which overflowed is called a 'flood channel' and it has been overflowing over and over during floods for 40 years. I guess 'flood channel' is the correct name for it.
Ridiculous that this has not been fix after 45 years. These poor people have to keep dealing with tis every time it rains. California is too busy giving illegal immigrants all the money and citizens are not being taken care of.
@@tommurphy4307 They said since 1979 they've been getting flooded perhaps not this bad but they have been flooded. I live in a retirement community in Palm Springs and when it rains all our exits get flooded and we can't drive out or in and I've been dealing with that for 20 years and they won't fix it. When it's really bad rain some houses are flooded
Wait until they find out they need to have flood insurance in force 30 to 60 days before the flood. In Kansas, where we are not in a flood plain, we have not had any flood events since 1993. my annual home insurance is under 2,000.00 a year, simple flood insurance was quoted to me for 1700.00 a year. I can not afford the insurance.
You know if you started with a map it would provide context as to where in San Diego this happened (I grew up in San Diego and never heard of Mountain View, but then I have been gone for over 30 yeas so that is not all that hard to believe).
You may have grew up some part San Diego, but I doubt it that you lived anywhere near mountain view for you not to ever hear of it, that is my neighborhood and my family have lived here since before I was born, that's 56 years ago and it's always been called mountain view to us!
Are you complaining about God's work!!! Are you??? Are you complaining that you are alive??? Woman???? Just quit IT!!!! Your are Alive!!!! Your precious doggy is Alive!!!! For God's sake!!!!!!
I hope they all had flood insurance or their home insurances cover it because imagine barely holding on in this expensive city and a flood knocks you right off your feet for years☹️
They probably didn't . Hopefully, their agents snuck it in during the underwriting. Who would think to get flood insurance in Southern California. I'm in a low flood risk area, so flood insurance isn't a priority. Heck...alot of us can't even afford earthquake insurance along with our already high homeowners insurance rates. 😅
Where is Todd Snyder of the San Diego storm water department? Why has he not released a statement? How did this happen if there was regular maintenance being done?
