Dynamite. Thanks Richard. This is the one game in the hot war between the 49ers and Cowboys from 1992-1995 that was missing from the internet arena. Thanks for helping me completion my collection. I now have all of their matchups from 1981 to 2000.
I wonder why it’s so hard to win in the NFL…you have a blue print right here…Norv Turner offense, strong arm tall QB, three tall wide receivers(Novacek) an offensive lineman full back, and a punishing runner…and big offensive line…easy….and one great edge rusher=SuperBowl.
Paul Evereklian The Giants were at home playing The Eagles. Contractually CBS couldn’t show this game. The blackout rules made no sense. When I went away to college I finally got to see DH games. Took another 10 years before The NFL realized how dumb their rules were
Ahhh I loved it. The three-fold death we could deal out back then: The Hammer Death (Emmitt Smith behind that great O-line), the Lightning Death (Irvin on any given down and Harper for the deep play), The Chinese Water Torture Death (Novacek Smith, or Johnson out of the backfield for short to intermediate passes.) You could pick which one or ones to die by, but die you would!!!
For me I grew up in the nineties as a die-hard cowboys fan in the DMV area, but anyway because I grew up then, for me the fox intro was better but this is good too
Watching these games I have a lot of observations, a lot of things to say. This time I'll just say: dang Ed Hochily has been refereeing for a long time!
The Cowboys dominated the trenches in these matchups. Even during the 49er wins in '94, Steve Young was running for his life, while Aikman had enough time to get fellatio and get a pass off.
The Cowboys mostly dominated the 49ers during these years and I loved it…the 49ers have always been one of my least favorite teams, along with the Eagles.
No it was damn near even. 92 game we know the niners blew that game. 93 was dallas hands down. 94 was SF hands down. And 95 was Dallas cuz Deion left SF to go to them.
