San Francisco Homeless Problem 2022 

Thank you for filming the reality of the homeless situation. Have you filmed Santa Monica lately? Several months ago, the city bulldozed and dumped all the tents and belongings that lined the roads, and I was wondering how it is now. As far as giving homeless a spare room in my home, I have to say no. My late husband and I allowed four different young, homeless men to pitch a tent in our back yard, though they had to use the nice, clean restroom at a park within two blocks, not our house. We felt compassion for these strangers in need, but three out of four of them stole from us. To his credit, the fourth guy knew a lot about nurturing plants and saved my hundred-year-old peach tree, for which I am very grateful. Later I heard some homeless under a bridge laughing and talking about how, ways they were going to scam people that day. Turns out some of them were scamming the gov in several states, collecting thousands of bucks a month, plus tons of free food, clothing and other benefits. I am still giving, but if I choose to give them a meal, I give them food, not money. Please be aware and use discernment if you choose to help. Putting your own life or that of tour loved ones at risk, doesn't help anyone. Somethings gotta give. Too many kind-hearted people are being victimized. We need real solutions, not more leeway for scammers. Perhaps the legislators need to look at the laws in states that have the least amount of homeless people. I feel strongly about people being aware, so they don't become victims

Most of these people were sent here from other States... I talk to them and have yet to meet a single homeless person that actually from California So maybe instead of blaming us for the problem that other States keep shipping to us you should take a hard look at what's going on in your Hometown and how you are treating needy people!!!

Where do these people go to the bathroom? Sidewalks?

I would not believe it If I hadn't seen it.

When I first moved to the Bay area and for years onward I was frequently in commuter transit centers. There were many hands searching for hand outs. I had a hard time choosing how to help with my beginner income. I chose to give money to saxophone players and frequently was able to do it.

It is the shame of the richest state (USA)!

Why are people getting used to this, there walking and driving around like this is normal.. if people take a blind eye to this then we are all lost…WAKE UP THIS IS NOT OKAY fight for your country fuck fight for something… it’s not so much these drug addicts as it’s the so called normal people thinking this is ok and doing nothing to stop this.
