Peter and I are gearing up for a rematch at Sand Canyon Country Club, tackling the Valley and Desert courses from the formidable black tees, boasting a challenging rating/slope of 74.9/145. Prepare for a thrilling ride where our tee shots ultimately determined the final outcome.
Usually, I focus solely on tee shots, but this round was exceptional. I found myself wishing I could capture every shot, as Peter and I either saved or squandered opportunities. What seemed like a decisive lead in the first six holes shifted dramatically on the back nine. Our lack of course knowledge was evident on several holes, leaving me to wonder how close the match would have been if we both knew the course better.
One challenge we faced was the intense heat, which caused our equipment to overheat, limiting the number of shots we could record. We might need to alternate between multiple cameras to prevent overheating and capture more of our game.
In future videos, I plan to include more details about each hole, as it's tough to convey the round's progress through tee shots alone. However, for those of you who watch our videos to explore new courses, I hope you still get a good sense of the course layout. Next time, I'll aim to tackle the Mountain course from the tips.
