Seven Years will always be requested by the crowd, it always is. It's a good thing he can deliver it even if it sounds different live. Thats the whole point of a live show.....to give it a live sound.
DANG!! i didn't think cove would scream like that at all man!!! that's awesome. He should have done that with the first cd that they took out, i think it would be waaay better! anyone agree?
I was at this show, too, and I'm not an "MTV crowd". I'll say this again. In an article in AP, Anthony told Cove that he was meant to sing these songs. People need to get over it. Also, if you know anything about Saosin, you know that they're constantly changing lyrics to their songs. Have you heard the acoustic version with Anthony? He changed the words. OH NO!!!
19-year-old Cove Reber, was announced as their new permanent lead singer. Reber had sent in his demo tape, which was an acoustic demo with "Mookie's Last Christmas". The demo has since leaked onto the internet. It is widely speculated to have included a few songs from Translating the Name. When Beau Burchell first heard the demo, he thought it was Anthony playing a trick on them, for Reber's vocal stylings were very similar to those of Green's when the demo was originally recorded.
I definitely agree with you, his screaming is amazing. I've heard this song probably over 200 times and I was most impressed with this version. MfriarW is right, Cove should scream a lot more.
Damn, Alex has a lot of frickin' stamina. After performing 12 songs with nonstop drum beastliness, he still manages to do a blazing fast beat at the very end. That settles it. We need a drum solo.
i completly agree i heard the original version of this a few weeks ago, and i heard some of circa surives stuff, and i dont see how people think hes the best thing since robert plant
"That mistake was gold I know that without you is something that I could never do That was why staple the eyes and seven dates for me to sell machines and tear on" oh my god go re-record that , its so much more amazing on this video than on the track
i think, the music written with cove in the band is 10x better than anything written then when anthony was in the band.. the album with cove is what made saosin big... don't kid yourselves.. you're not alone, voices.. those songs mapped them.
@timmyparker56 if what you're referring too is that Anthony didn't right every bit of the song...and the word "they" was taken out of context, then you're right...i neglected to mention that the drums, guitar, and bass were all a collaborative effort of Saosin...but when i listen to this song in particular i feel that the lyrics emit so much more than the rest of the music...and i think most would agree...either..way i'm trying to say by my comment that this song is just not the same anymore:/
