Anthony Green was solid, but he was better as a vocalist for Circa Survive than Saosin. I was a max dosage hater back when but respectfully speaking now, Cove makes way more sense for Saosin

What is my bottle worth? was there a price set before (he cant remember) is something greater there (not sure if he shall go on drinking) And YES he has to! because when he stops he doesnt need autotune anymore but its so important for saosins new sound i guess! not the same kind of presence anthony cant get me into heavy music hes just not a heavy vocalist. can he get me into a circa show hell ya but what im trying to get across is cove is meant for this and anthonys meant for circa I did word it weird though.
Unfortunately Soasin started sucking live. Cove Reber's voice deteriorated because of his vocal strain and smoking, he lost a lot of his range and consistency.
hehe, he sucks...the drummer is the most talented of this band. I saw em at Warped Tour...awful...Cove was tryin to get everyone into it, but we didn't wanna rock out w/ a singer who can't sing. = P
Who gives a fuck about the old lead singer. The newer music is better and Cove sings it better and in MY opinion a better fit for the band. I just don't think high pitched wining would go well with this.
i love the lyrics to this song. It's way deep. I think its talking about how much we should appreciate our bodies and that we should respect them and remember that they are a sacred gift from God. 1 Cor. 6: 20 -" For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are Gods."
yeah, it is... he could be so much better (aka like he is on the album), but he obviously never practiced much. sounds like he's just winging those high notes, which at the level, turns into screeching death if you hit it flat or even sharp.
lifexlovexlivin Saosin wanted him to go high to match what Greene did. The album is phenomenal, but night after night it was a strain on his voice. It's like Underoath. When Dallas left and Spencer joined, They're Only Chasing Safety was recorded to match Dallas' high pitch vocals. they switched to lower, deeper vocals on Define the Great Line, and they were better for it. I never felt that the rest of Saosin wanted to change sounds. But lowering their keys so Cove could sing more comfortably would have been a win for everyone.
thats where you're wrong.... anthony green doesn't have the voice like what cove has.. straight up that cove has better talent than that guy... besides they kicked him out for 3 reasons... 1. homesick 2. depressed and 3. beau burchell and the others thought that he was losing the voice.... and then came cove.... but then they kicked him out for the same reason that they kicked anthony out..... he was losing the talent
it's kinda ironic...this song says what is my body worth, and then Cove goes and screws up his voice and gets kicked out of the band. so i guess he got his answer...too bad tho, honestly a fan of his voice in this vid
It's cuz for some reason Saosin is a really good band that does something new and people who want to whine constantly will always pick bands like those to whine at. And the frontman change (like 5 years ago =\) doesn't really help either. Reason they're still selling out shows is simply because all the people who dont whine love their music, me included. Saosin rocks!
I love Saosin... but in hinndsight, imagine how much better they would've been live if they had replaced any of their instrumentalists with someone who could sing and play. lol
yeah anthony is so insane live and i think his really better off in circa survive and the sound of animals fighting.cove to me is better suited in saosin.so yeah theyre both doing awesome in my opinion.
@radioheadsunburn Because Cove fucked his own voice up (smoking cigarettes is a HORRIBLY fail idea if you're trying to be a good vocalist) and the rest of the band, especially Justin, got pissed off at the way he couldn't sing excellently live anymore - so they decided to kick him out. IMO that was a wrong-ass move on their part but Cove's voice did get a lot weaker than when he recorded Saosin's first album back in 2006.
are they using pitch correction? because I've heard cove in some other setting and he's sucked, but he's absolutely perfect here.. makes me wonder, since this is probably mastered so they could have fixed the off notes.. but it might just be that he's improved....
anthony is a great singer in all but like the man before me, he sings in his falsetto. cove uses his real vioce for the most part, which makes hitting those high note really hard live. and remember saosin has to tour and play almost everyday singing these hard songs. in short anthony green fan boys should give cove some slack, if he wasn't trying to match greens falsetto he would be a top notch singer live.
@uchihaitachii88 If you knew anything about Saosin, you would know that Anthony left the band. He left on his own accord. Anthony was in the band for a little over a month, than left. Cove was in the band for how long? Why keep fighting this? Like you said Cove is gone, so whats left to fight about?
@spyhunter1223 you wouldnt believe how nervous people get when you first get out on the stage. im in a band and im teling you, playing in front of a new crowd is TERRIFYING! you have to get used to it.. by the end of the show, cove was relaxed and enjoying himself, not worrying about making everything perfect
Yeah, I agree. Phone cameras don't do the sound any justice. Though I don't doubt that they would use mild pitch correction, it's so obvious in the beginning. Poor cove.
lol green does sound like a girl in circa survive i knew green was in them but when i checked them out it sounded like a girl i thought i got the wrong song but i was wrong -.-
naw, sometimes pro quality just sounds better, i heard anberlin on a video once and it blew, but i saw them twice live and it was really awesome, same for Breaking Benjamin and Red
well than thats your problem, bcuz circa's done a far better job in writing songs and better sound than saosin has. their best song was seven years, and who wrote it? oh thats right, anthony green.
yeah, everyting anthony did for that band was their best albums. FACT. everything cove did was eh then it just fell downhill, and thats when it came with his shitty voice n he got kicked, lol.
