Thank you for sharing, i developed PTSD 2 years ago, the only people i have is my boyfriend Roshun and my brother. Everyone around me tells me to grow up and "get over it". Complete horse shit, Im glad lovely woman like you are speaking up about how PTSD really can effect you. Thank you

I know what you mean. After my last tour in Iraq my family said "get over it your home" "wow Iraq really fucked you up". Took me a couple different therapists and a failed marriage to realize I needed help. I still have occasional panic attacks but the rage I once felt is in much more control.

That’s the first time I comment but I just recently have been diagnosed with PTSD and it’s hard to live with that. Like she said “it’s so easy to minimize our experiences” and that’s what happens in my case. Anyway, it’s good to hear someone else’s story and to be able to relate . Sorry for my English, that’s not my mother tong

Oh wow this hits so hard and real!! So cerebral. I think that simply existing is reason enough for a great deal of anxiety.

The 1000-yard-stare. I've been asked "what are you thinking about?" by partners, and then they don't believe me when I say "Nothing."

Good talk however PTSD is NOT a "disease", it is a psychiatric disorder which is treatable.PTSD was classified as an anxiety disorder in the DSM-IV, but has since been reclassified as a "trauma- and stressor-related disorder" in the DSM-5.

I've lived with it my entire life. I believe the problem is ppl who don't have it thinking they have it are in the studies and it screw those of us that do have it that dont have quite the same thing as textbook symptoms. I've lived with it my entire life... I fought the diagnosis and didn't think I had it caz I wasn't "violent" or "crazy" even tho I felt crazy I was reacting to real shit real life shit so I'm not crazy. I didn't understand so was everyone else and that my shut down thinking I'm lazy crazy etc is very harmful and kept me.in a prison of my own mind. I trust noone including myself but God. My hope is in Jesus. That's all I got for now. I really hope we get some support with this instead of being told there is basically no help. I'm so sorry for anyone suffering and I'd love to talk to someone else who has this.

I don't know if I can ask this, but with your permission, of course - Can we talk about it deeper. I'm working on a story where a person suffers from PTSD. Although I researched the essential information regarding the same. I don't think that it's enough to see through one's mind. I want to learn more as to how a person deals with it and what really goes on in the mind and what triggers it. I know that I'm really bad of me to ask you to discuss about it. Please leave me a reply if you would like to discuss this further. I'd really appreciate it and be grateful to you. Thank you so much. I pray that you get better with time. May God Be With You Always. Love! 🌷💕

The worst symptom of PTSD is that everyone hates you. Its one of the most misunderstood disabilities. Sometime it would be better to be in a wheelchair. No one sees that you are navigating through hell 24/7.

@@user-bh8ln4cm1f It's really comfortable knowing that there are others with this and have almost identical problems. First time I heard that I was blown away meeting someone who suffered the same. The biggest problem is such groups are populated by veterans. Some are not very welcoming to non-veterans. We always argued which is worse. Having a bomb go off near a fully mature adult or a baby beating beat with fists and being screamed at. Again this is an extremely misunderstood disability.

@@margaret5687Hello Margaret, how are you? I know that I'm bad to ask you this. Of course with your permission-is it okay if I ask you to talk about PTSD. I'm working on a story about a person who suffers with PTSD. I made decent research about the same but it's all scientific explanation. But I'm looking for a person who actually experienced it. If you want to talk about it and are okay with it. Please let me know. I'll be waiting for your reply. I'd appreciate it and be grateful if you could talk about it. Of course, only if you are comfortable with it. Please take care. Prayers! 🌷💕
