@@whoblitzell Negatory. Naruto caught up to Sasuke once he got the Rasenshuriken. He was clean ahead of Sasuke once he got Sage Mode. The Taijutsu is questionable, Naruto's Taijutsu was fine at the Valley of the End, and Sasuke learned Kenjutsu with Orochimaru. Naruto did get boosted in that area with the Frog Kata, but there's no indication one way or another at this point.

He could have made Sasuke hating Itachi by saying how he was merely a dog to the leaf and realising the best revenge is to live where people expect you to perish. Your last point is right , the characters direction in shippuden didn't line up with build up from part 1, completely different show

Naruto never did anything vs Orochimaru. In no way, shape or form has Naruto ever had feat of going toe to toe with Orochimaru. It was literally Kurama with the 4 tails. And with Sasuke's Sharingan he was completely able to suppress Kurama here so no, Naruto wouldn't be able to vs him at this stage, not until he had kcm as Sasuke can't lock Kurama out then. Sharingan's genjutsu is naturally strong vs tailed beasts & imperfect jinjuurinki. You can't just compare characters like that because one character bodied another. People have strengths, weaknesses, counters etc. Rock, Papers, Scissors. An Itachi can 1 shot Orochimaru, yet will retreat from Jirayah. Yet Orochimaru can take on Jirayah and Tsunade simultaneously. Again, Rock. Paper. Scissors. People have different strengths. Orochimaru can take on the Leaf solo. Due to High Chakra, stamina, survivability and nukes. Itachi will have much more difficulty taking on an entire village due to him not having stamina, chakra or summonings & nukes. Yet, in a 1 vs 1. Itachi literally beats 99% of the characters. Kakashi was anbu, so it's plausible to think he had information on the types of experiments Orochimaru was performing.

He can produce Kirin without artificially creating a lighting storm, though it’s far more taxing. As shown here, his body was emitting a large quantity of chakra. During the Itachi fight, it’s mentioned that there was no build up of chakra before the usage of Kirin.
