As to your question about dubbing: a lot of Italian movies were filmed that way, dubbed later through ADR. I know Jessica Harper (Suzy) and Joan Bennett (Madam Blanc) spoke English while everyone else spoke either Italian or German. Which I guess makes sense since it's a movie shot with an Italian crew but set in Germany (but filmed mostly in Italy).

Hell yes. This is one of my favorite movies. You should also check out the the band that did the soundtrack, "Goblin". I believe they did the soundtrack for " Phenomena" as well.

@@my_randomology deep red certainly walks the line between the two, but Suspiria definitely does NOT. Ask any Italian, including Dario himself.
