Fun Facts: in the Insidious movies (the 4th, The Skeleton Key, one sucks nads! I wouldn't even include it) There is a Carachter named "Specs" who is played by Leigh Whannell who was Adam in the original SAW. He is best known for writing films directed by his friend James Wan, including Saw (2004), Dead Silence (2007), Insidious (2010), and Insidious: Chapter 2 (2013). Whannell made his directorial debut with Insidious: Chapter 3 (2015), and has since directed two more films, Upgrade (2018) and The Invisible Man (2020). (Upgrade and The Invisible Man are awesome flicks)
For someone who is an introvert and shy, having y'all's reactions to watch is like a lifeline. I don't have friends, but watching with y'all is like sharing my favorite horror movies with friends who haven't seen them. Friends who have a great sense of humor. I hope one day y'all do the Friday the 13th and Halloween franchise.
I do have a couple groups of friends but none who share the same media interests as me so watching these reaction channels really does feel like me sitting with a group of friends.
i love this, because same. i don’t have people who watch the same things i do so it’s nice to see others reactions. creating reaction channels was the best idea ever.
My personal theory is that the family deaths at the end weren't the penalty for losing the game. All that lost them was the protection and success Le Bail was granting them. The deaths were because they breached the terms of the game by trying to kill Grace after sunrise when she'd won the game. Its why nothing happened till the aunt stated she still dies and moved to attack her.
Would it be accurate to infer that only when a possible pure soul marries into the family that the game Hide&Seek is selected because those souls are best for sacrifice or corrupt. And perhaps as you mentioned if they survive and get accepted into the family the wealth multiplies from corruption of the pure soul?
@@salmahernandez3142 I think the focus is more on the family than the outsider. We only see two but in both of them that's the case. The aunt states her faith and focus on the family was renewed by her husbands death. Then in this film the husband is trying to pull away but his resolve crumbles and he returns fully to the fold by the end. So the two games we know about is about preventing a family member from breaking free of their beliefs. I'll also add there's some speculation that Justin who disbales her car is also Le Bail ensuring the game is fully played out.
@@salmahernandez3142 I don't think that's it because the director actually said that Alex would have survived at the end if Grace hadn't rejected him. So I think that Grace, not Mr. Le Bail, was the one controlling whether they died once dawn came. That's why nothing happened until the aunt attacked her.
I love this movie so much. One of my favorite things is Samara’s scream getting more and more animalistic until that very last one which is so goat-like (echoing that the dad called her just another sacrificial goat).
The anger that coursed through my body when Alex said if he didn't marry Grace. She would have left him. Then let her leave you and find some else if you truly love her. Instead of putting her life in danger.
Yeah it was very encouraging hearing the guys immediately saying "I just wouldn't get married then!" Also, shows the difference between Alex and Daniel, since it's made clear that Daniel did tell Chastity the truth, it's just that she was down for it.
My mom voices her distain for this man every time we watch this movie Alex didn’t even have an actual plan to protect Grace. He pretty much tossed her into the lion’s den and said,”Hope those lions stay asleep.”
Ready or Not is by far my favorite Radio Silence film. I recommend other films starring Samara Weaving like The Babysitter and The Babysitter: Killer Queen, and Mayhem. She’s one of the best modern Scream Queens
Ready Or Not is a modern horror classic. The best Radio Silence film, the best Samara Weaving role.... It all came together so well, and Samara's scream is a top 5 scream... animalistic and wild.
20:14 The One Bad Card means that had she gotten any other game they wouldn’t have started hunting her. Aunt Helene’s husband, Charles, pulled the Hide and Seek card and was subsequently killed. Charles being the man at the start
Samara Weaving is one of the horror queens in the genre, especially for her screams. You need to react to the babysitter movies, starring Samara Weaving, and the sequel stars Samara as well & Jenna Ortega. Samara´s screams are top tier in every movie she´s in! Fun fact: Samara (Grace) plays Laura in Scream 6, Henry Czerni (Alex and Daniel´s dad) plays Sam´s therapist in Scream 6, and Adam Brody (Daniel) plays officer Hoss in Scream 4.
Someone on another reaction commented that the first family member explosion didn't happen until they were going to be sore losers by taking Grace out even though she won. So I'm torn between they were all going to explode anyway or just because they broke the rule after Grace won. I guess we won't know unless an official statement comes from the director/writer lol.
I have a movie recommendation for you to react to: X (2022), a different and creative slasher horror, which introduced the best recent horror trilogy, you'll enjoy it.
It's also an anagram for labile, which stands for: liable to change; easily altered. "persons whose blood pressure is more labile will carry an enhanced risk of heart attack"
@@viviorunitia14 The oversharing trailers ruined Abigail for me. It ended up being boring and predictable e because we all knew what the "Secret" was. I'm so tired of teaser trailers, that used to just be the trailer, then a 3 1/2 minute trailer that tells the whole story. I've just stopped watching the trailers altogether. I like to be surprised.
This movie is great. Samara Weaving is such an underrated actress. If you saw the show 9 perfect strangers with Nicole K she was in that. She was also in 3 billboards outside Ebbing Missouri, a couple of Scream films, Both Babysitter movies, Babylon, Mayhem etc, etc. She's awesome! The Mom is played by Andie McDowell. She was a model. Then was cast in a very iconic film with Hugh Grant called "Four Weddings & a Funeral) and that started her acting career. She also has a daughter who's making a name for herself in Hollywood. Her name is Margaret Qualley. She's very good.
This is one my favorite horror movies of all time. As a girl who grew up on horror back in the 80s, this is one of the most brilliant modern yet classic and original screenplays I've seen in years! I'm so happy I got to see it in the theater when it came out! Also stokes its getting some play on RU-vid!
My dudes, you HAVE to do Cabin In The Woods with Chris Hemsworth. Trust me. Obviously, you don't literally "HAVE" to do anything you don't want to, but it is the most genius meta horror movie I've seen, and totally crazy. YOU guys would love it, I just know it. You would be doing yourselves a favor.
You guys definitely need to watch Abigail, You’re Next, and the Babysitter movies! Sam from Scream is in Abigail, Samara’s in the Babysitter, Jenna Ortega’s in the second one, and You’re Next has a similar vibe to Ready or Not.
I saw the trailer first so I want to know the reason of the tradition of killing the bride/groom, went in with no expectation and this movie gives me horror element but not too scary, have gore but also lots of humor and the epic ending of all the family members' explosion🤣 Love the close up to your reaction at that scene by the way🤣🤣 About Alex, I think he grew up with the teaching that family comes first until he met Grace, so when Grace rejected him, he can't stand being on his own and he immediately reverted back to family comes first which means Grace has to die to keep them safe. Personally I think Mr.Lebail (Anagram for Belial) gives Grace the choice whether she'd like to have Alex back or not, because he didn't explode for quite awhile even though his family were all dead, until Grace rejected him, then he exploded
During the subway scene in Scream 6, when all the extras were wearing a bunch of pop-culture Halloween costumes, a girl was wearing Samara Weaving's Ready or Not "final girl" costume. I had the eagle eye and spotted it, and it was awesome!
Aunt helene was the bride in the beginning! That’s why she was so bitter & resentful because her husband picked the hide and seek card and got killed that’s why she acted like that
Rewatching this now I remember thinking that the strongest message this movie has is that being the help for rich people sucks 😂 I feel like it's trying to tell us that working for rich people is the worst..
Hey guys, great reaction to READY OR NOT. I've also been enjoying the HAUNTING OF BLY MANOR reactions. Yes, that was an elephant gun. It has 577 up to 700 caliber rounds. - In my opinion, this is Samara Weaving's best role. I have seen her in a few other things. Loved her "goat" scream.😄 Did u know she's the niece of Hugo Weaving "Agent Smith" from THE MATRIX & "Elrond" the elf from THE LORD OF THE RINGS?
I absolutely love this film it’s the same directors as scream 5 and 6 and the main actresses name is called samara weaving she was the opening scene in scream 6 who played the film teacher loved your reactions as always 😂❤
I think the only reason they all exploded at the end was because the game was over and she won and then the angry aunt wanted to kill her anyway. Trying to kill her after she won went against the spirit of the game.
Great movie! I love Samara Weaving. I'm glad we heard her natural Australian accent in Scream VI. I recommend Abigail, it's directed by the same directors.
clicked as soon as i saw the notification! you guys should react to "abigail" too, it takes place in the same universe as "ready or not"! same directors and a stacked cast.
her scream is amazing, idk how actresses do it in horror movies without killing their voice/throat lol also she absolutely could've kept the elephant rifle and used it as a bludgeoning weapon, good reach and nice and heavy, swing it like a bat and one good hit will definitely do some damage
This movie was a lot of fun. I didn't expect much going into watching it, but I thoroughly enjoyed myself. All of the cast did a great job, but Samara Weaving did a fantastic job. I'm guessing her uncle Hugo gave her some tips.
Samara's great. I think you'd enjoy two of her other movies, the Babysitter and the Babysitter:Killer Queen. Another recommendation... The Menu with Anya Taylor joy
I’m never unsubbing from y’all’s Patreon 😝 my friends won’t watch these movies or vampire diaries with me, so y’all are my unofficial movie besties haha
Now you have to react to The Babysitter (2017). It’s also with Samara Weaving and it gives the same silly slasher vibe. Another silly slasher that would be good to react is Freaky (2020).
I just think that all throughout the film, the whole family wasn't playing against Grace. They were actually playing against their benefactor Mr. le Bail hence the different kinds of interventions on key points of the film. Distractions and untimely deaths befalling on the maids that tried to snitch (One got shot in the face after nearly discovering Grace and Alex hiding, the other one got shot with a crossbow before she could say what she was going to inform the family, and the other who tried on to snitch on Grace got crushed by the dumbwaiter), add the bird that caught Charity's shot mid-air preventing it from hitting grace. Emilie's wild streak of missing her shots could also be taken into play but given her panicked nature, I kind of doubt it. Still strange she managed to kill two maids though.
I loved your reaction 😊 Welcome to the fandom!! I love this show ❤I binge watch all 15 seasons in 4 months 2 years ago😅 From the first episode i was hooked.. I bought a lot off merchandise and next year i go to my first Supernatural convention in Germany (Purgatory9)😊❤ Hope you have a great time watching Supernatural, much love from the Netherlands..
Awesome to see you guys react to this, radio silence never misses a beat. A few movies I would syggest after seeing this would be The Menu, Freaky, Jennifer's Body, and Happy Death Day. I think you guys might get a kick out of these.
'Hide & Seek'is the only death game. All the other games are literally Old Maid, Chess & Checkers etc. otherwise Daniel's wife and the daughter's husband would also be dead.
You guys really do so much and I’m looking forward to the new “Insidious” Saturdays, but if you were looking for future possibilities: 1) The Hunt, 2) The Babysitter, 3) Tucker and Dale vs Evil and 4) You’re Next…all great watches 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾😎
