I have to say, you are my favorite furniture flipper. You don't spend a lot of time standing around and talking about what you're going to do, but you still explain everything that you are doing. And your skill and attention to detail are second to none!

I agree 💯 that he's not only a wonderful craftsman but, is becoming quite the video editor as well! Random thoughts: 🤔 I watch a channel that has really good content as far as the furniture restoration goes. However, her videos are very choppy. Also, she thinks she needs to use every song in the YT music library...& she does with no sense of volume control. I love the fact that Jay has such an awesome work ethic & his attention to detail floors me every time! Thanks for letting me butt in & comment on your comment. I think that my thought process was in line with yours & had to speak up! 👍

I love how you take your time n so very careful at what you do. And all those cool gadgets you get just adds more personality to the piece. ( loving your logo you are now placing on your pieces). I’m hoping many more people are subscribing to your channel as you do great wonders with your pieces of furniture you remake over. Your really awesome. 😊♥️♥️👍👍👍👍🌟

I really love everything about your work! I especially love your attention to detail, and you take pride in the inside of the piece. There are some restoration channels on You Tube that only work on the outside, and when they do their reveal and open the doors, it ruins the whole piece for me. You have the BEST restoration channel on You Tube, and your voice is so soothing. Can't wait until your next piece.

This turned out beautifully! I'm impressed by the original hinges and bullet catches. Those catches would work for doors at least triple the size! "Utility" furniture was a way of making affordable goods with limited resources which was the situation in Britain both during and just after WWII. That being said, there was a lot of thought that went into the design of this simple little nightstand. Solid wood and plywood, sturdy hinges and a reasonably attractive veneer. You won't find some particle board monstrosity surviving 60 years and being in good enough shape to be restored. Great job and an interesting video. Thank you for taking us with you on the journey.

Why did you replace the hardware? You know Bakelite is worth a lot of money, Right?
@Flippingdrawers

I thought I answered this in the video. Calling plastic Bakelite doesn't make it less plastic.
@chrispresko9917
@chrispresko9917 Год назад
You did. But my point is there's a whole giant following of Bakelite. Like if you were to put that online auction style, you can make a whole lot of money on that with those handles on there💰 More than you would've made with the new ones

The cabinet turned out AWESOME! That xTool was SURPRISINGLY cool! Why do I say "surprisingly", you might ask yourself. That's a good question. I thought those machines were just for burning logos and pictures, etc... into wood. I really expensive wood burner. I didn't know they could cut through such thick wood!

Ooohh WOWIE 😮 super chic, beautiful result!! 😊❤ I think . . . Restoring furniture is similar to helping a wounded person or animal. Nurturing is good for the soul.

I think you should make a nice healthy profit on your furniture. Although I don't think I've heard you mention exactly how much time you spend or how much the materials you use cost, I suspect your profit margin isn't all that great and that's why the donations you receive are so helpful to you. I'm glad you were able to make it financially on what furniture restoration, etc., brings in because full-time employment majorly sucks.
